LG PF50KA 100” Portable Full HD (1920 x 1080) LED Smart TV Home Theater CineBeam Projector with Built-in Battery (2.5 Hours) - White

After using computer projectors for years, the LG CINEBEAM DLP Projector Model PF50KA is a great choice for either home / portable theater scenarios or for computer projection. It’s lightweight, portable, AND can run on the built-in battery for up to three hours. I can see a potential for temporary outdoor movie screenings in the summer, for office projection, and even home theater with a crisp white, flat screen. Note that I tested this in a semi-dark room on an empty bedroom wall. I don’t have a theater set up (yet). However, my main use for this device is as a portable computer projector to replace my old, broken Dell projector. The Good: - Easy to set up and use right out of the box - MANY input options—Ethernet, USB and USB-C, 2 HDMI inputs, and even an antenna input - Crisp, clear picture. My powerpoint presentation was crisp, and my Satellite TV picture was clean with no jitter or lag. - Good picture even in a light room The somewhat mediocre - There was a wizard to utilze the ‘magic’ remote that came with the box to control my DirecTV set-top box. The set-up options were less than stellar. It didn’t work. - Moving from input to input is cumbersome. It would be nice to be able to easily change inputs. - For an LED projector, this got HOT. I didn’t expect that. - The fan is at the top of the box, and the plastic isn’t rigid. Be careful when you pick it up—don’t do so with one hand or you may press on the fan. - Adjusting the screen size—there is NO way to adjust the screen projection size EXCEPT by placing the box closer/farther away from the screen. - Keystone adjustment is awkward. In general, I think this is a pretty sold choice for a projection device. I like the crisp, clear projection of my computer screen (my primary use case) and will also enjoy the TV/video options here.

I bought this projector because of the features of Bluetooth and portability. I needed it for an external meeting held in a hotel meeting room. The room was a normal large meeting room with about 25-30 people in attendance. Unfortunately even with almost all of the lights dimmed in the room the light was so faint that many that were not closest to the screen could not view a very large screen. The light was worked with several times with our IT department etc and it was still really poor. The colors that this projector provided were also very poor. They did not remotely resemble the PPT slides that were presented of even the video clips. They were off tremendously to the point of not being able to discern the actual color. The bluetooth worked but wanted to connect to absolutely everything LG in the room or even close. Overall other than the size I would not recommend this projector. I am returning thanks to Amazon, but even had an issue with the seller on the return. Not my best purchase decision

Replaced my Qumi Q3 Pico projector for this LG, and honestly the best decision I’ve made in a long time. Picture quality is great, and the brightness is just what i needed. My favorite part is the auto keystone feature! The internal speaker is average as to be expected from an internal speaker. Battery life is good. Lasts about the length of a movie. LG OS installed is great, and so easy to navigate and use!

First impression: It’s compact, built well, and excellent packing I already have a projector, the JMGO N7, what is not perfect, but have good picture quality and brightness, but it’s not portable I was looking for something that have decent Brightness and full HD. I have got the AAXA P7, what actually a really well built and Small projector with excellent quality image The only think I had a problem with is the Contrast, and color accuracy, so I send it back. I decided to get the LG PF50KA. The contrast Is just WOW. 100000:1 . In my opinion contrast just as important as high brightness The colors are nice, The image sharp and the brightness is more than enough in a dark room. I did try with daylight, and the image is enjoyable. 600 lumIs perfect with the high contrast. I don’t know How long the battery will last, I be back in a few days..... the operating system is LG’s own system, If you like Amazon, unfortunately you will need a Fire Tv stick or any plugin to HDMI That support Amazon streaming, because LG don’t. Everything else is there like YouTube, or Netflix. Second day : The image Controll is awesome. Individual brightness, contrast, color, gamma Give incredible control over the image. I was able to match the color really close Between my laptop and the projector. The battery is about 1 hour and 20 min in High, 2 hour in mid and 2 hours and 30 min In low settings. The resolution is full HD Not interpolation. Meaning: the DLP is True 1920 x 1080. I’m really happy with This projector. Thank you for reading.... Back after two years, (March 2021) the projector is still the same and still goin. I’m using it 5-6 hours per day 7 says per week. LOVE IT EVERY DAY.!!!

Battery backup is very poor. Excellent picture quality in dark room. Light weight. Bluetooth audio fluctuations

I was looking for a high end portable projector and this met all the expectations I had except one. The 1 star detraction is due to only minimal battery life, although that also kept the weight down.

You cannot adjusts the side angle. So unless you mount this perfectly straight, it will be distorted.

First, I tried multiple lower priced portable projectors and was very, very unhappy with those other choices. This unit I had working in minutes and its menu and setup was very good. Acted just like my LG TV and because LG has licensing rights, you arent redirected to some China site to install very questionable apps to make the unit work. The other units I tried had menus partially in Chinese, required questionable apps that didnt work or they displayed text in Chinese for some of the menus or apps (no English with English selected) and I know a couple loaded tracking software because I ran Wireshark and it was sending data to China. This unit works as I expected. I am giving 4 stars because it works well and the programming is professional, not Chinese junk. I gave it 3 stars for brightness, because I just wont give a higher rating when its not enough for bright rooms. However, they are honest about its brightness and it works in moderate light conditions, and very well in low light. I bought it to project on to canvas for painting and it works great for that can move the unit to the right distance and get just want I want to trace with the image. The Bluetooth to my battery powered speakers works perfect and stays in-sync. Overall, I think this unit is much better than every other similarly priced or lower priced options. Plan to use it for football games this weekend. Didnt buy it for that, but its GREAT. Love the battery option. I spend many hours of research looking for a full native resolution 1080p projector even I bought 3 small projectors that claim to be 1080p and sadly found that they were not. This one I really like wonderful picture the sound I used an external Bluetooth speaker (Polk omni 2) then it sounds awesome. I only give four stars because to me a remote control today must have a clear input button like a volume or channel change ones. You can change inputs but is not as easy to do. does not connect to Wi-Fi speakers as SONOS or Polk Omni 2 by Wi-Fi only Bluetooth or wires. will be nice if you could add the apps you like prime video and others not available at this moment, I hope lg do and update to their store app for this projector. I do not plan to use the battery that is way I did not rate it. Overall A sleek beautiful and great picture and lumens can be seen even in a little lighted room but like any projector in the dark is awesome it is own light will let you see thru the room.
