> 3 dayThese umbrellas are actually pretty good. Ive been looking at others the same price but you only get one. Here you get 3 as advertised. The umbrella shaft is bright and you can switch to any color you want and to my surprise the flashlight is really bright. The only downside I could see is they dont come with a carry case like some others, but I wouldnt carry it across my back anyway so that doesnt matter. They do have a wrist loop though. Also, the umbrella shaft does scratch easily. All mine came with some defects of that sort. It didnt bother me as I know that would happen with use anyway. I havent taken them out in very windy conditions...I usually dont go out when there is a lot of rain and wind but in a normal rain storm they work just fine. The supports appear to be either a fiberglass or plastic but Ive seen metal ones that break or snap just as easily, so again, Im not worried. Especially for the great price. The ends are also covered in plastic which is nice for kids I imagine. Ive only had these a few weeks so time will tell in regards to longevity.

> 3 dayI wasnt sure these would be any good and to my surprise they are really great. You get a dark gray, black, and clear and each has the same 7 pattern lighting. Just press the button to cycle through the style you like. They are a decent size too. Theres a LED flashlight at the handle end with a separate button. I will note that the center pole is clear plastic. While its sturdy.....id be a little careful that you dont leave it in the backseat of a car or someplace someone might step on as im sure that would snap it. These are manual open and close, there is no pop open button like some of the other umbrellas. This is fine because its all about the lighting. Being you get 3, you can share them....if you wish. 3 AAA batteries are needed and they are in put in the handle nice and securely. The lighting was bright and had great deep colors. Lots of fun and they work well....enjoy.

Greater than one weekFun way to stay dry! Like the added visibility for safety reasons, as well as the down-pointing light to illuminate where you are walking.

> 3 dayThe set of three lightsaber umbrellas was just what the younger generation (kids) of our family needed. The light is admittedly cool and makes the rainy day fun. It doesnt necessarily provide any functionality other than maybe better visibility (i.e., in city traffic) on a grey day. The canopy is basic and only folds in a straight manner, which keeps the umbrella long even in the folded state. Of course, the lit sticks are not telescoping anyway. The handle is relatively long as it contains the battery compartment (three AAA batteries per umbrella), and buttons for the light as well as an integrated flashlight at the bottom. The latter turns on and off by pushing the lens. Its not very bright but can be helpful in some situations where a little bit more light is needed. The light colors of the lightsaber can be cycled with the switch on the side of the handle. Its a bit odd that both opaque canopied umbrellas have more colors to cycle through than the clear canopy. I think the latter doesnt have a red color, which seems odd since they seem otherwise identical. Of course, the opaque ones (black and dark grey) are actually fabric, while the clear canopy naturally appears to be plastic (vinyl?). Mine stuck together a bit at first and the umbrella seemed stuck until all folds were separated. The light distribution is fairly even from the handle to the tip. The canopy is fully manual, and there is no automatic of any kind. It shouldnt be the end of the world having to manually open and close the umbrella, but for some, that may be a deal-breaker. Overall, these are three cool umbrellas with basic functionally supplemented by cool lighting effects and an occasionally helpful flashlight. Of course, this set will set you back 9 AAA batteries, and pretty soon you invested more in battery replacements than the set costs. That also is an expression of the low price of the set. Its advertised as windproof and we have not been able to test them with that in mind, but there are no vents or anything to allow wind to pass through. So the umbrella claims to be sturdy enough to take the wind. (Only time will tell.)
