Loctite Threadlocker 242, 50mL Bottle, Blue

Building an engine up, my ARP flywheel bolts called for this as a thread sealant, so i bought a nice sized little bottle. I ended up using this on nearly every bolt during the assembly process. holds well, stands up to oil, and removal is not too difficult. Ill keep this as my go-to blue/medium strength thread locker.

Have used this Loctite Threadlocker for years and it has never failed to secure bolts. Can still loosen them as needed.

It’s a semi specialty adhesive… it works “ok”… but since Teflon tape is too large for some jobs, they bend you over on the price for this… used it on a 1/8” screw… didn’t hold very well… GO FOR THE RED VERSION… save where you can… cause that’s an even bigger $$$ hole, but it does work well…

This is the stuff you want to use on things that you want locked on but at some time you might remove it.. it adds plenty of stay power but will release with added pressure .. things will not loosen on themselves !

you must follow the directions exactly, and make sure its within experation date!

I have used this product for years. Currently using it to tighten drawer pulls that have a habit of coming loose over time. This should stop that problem! I have several projects in the offing that will get the advantage of nuts staying secure.
