I’m sure this thing would really come into its own while gaming, but I need a gaming mouse that can also do double duty as an everyday mouse, and there are a few features of the G502 Hero that really don’t work for me. First, the overall design feels just a little too busy. I know that gamers want a wide variety of programmable buttons at their fingertips, but here they just feel a little squeezed together, with five on the left side of the mouse and nothing on the right. I’m sure I’d grow accustomed to this after a while, but for the few hours I used the mouse it just felt like the buttons got in the way. Second, the scroll wheel can be switched between free spinning and with clicks. The free spinning mode is incredibly smooth, but when you activate the clicks you get a hell of a lot of noise, and the wheel itself suddenly feels a little cheaply made. Moving to this from my Logitech MX Anywhere 3 feels jarring, because the scroll wheel on that mouse is a thing of beauty, with excellent tactile feedback and no annoying noise. Finally, the overall size of this mouse is just a bit much. I have fairly small hands for a guy, and it just feels like I’m wrestling with this thing. Whichever button I need to click I feel as if I need to move my hand to reach for it, while my MX Anywhere 3 rests comfortably beneath my hand with everything easily within reach. I don’t think this is a bad gaming mouse by any means, but it just doesn’t tick my boxes.

While wireless mice can be more convenient, nothing can replace the speed and ease of use (no battery charging!) of a wire mouse with a great sensor. And the Hero sensor here is a great one, adjustable up to crazy high DPIs for even the fastest twitch gamer and you can switch it both on the fly (with up and down buttons on the mouse and lights that indicate what it currently is) and with a temporary shift button you can hit with your thumb if you need a short term boost. The mouse is weighty out of the box and well-balanced, so I didn’t add any of the extra weights, but they can be added in 3.6g increments to various areas of the bottom of the mouse which is very easy to do. IT slides well on my existing pad and feels very good in the hand (the buttons are nice and clicky and right where your fingers fall). The software is easy to use and customize the mouse DPI, buttons and RGB (the RGB is limited here, just the G logo itself and the DPI indicators, but the DPI indicators only light up when you switch DPI to tell you where you are then go off again - so most of the time the RGB is only the the G logo). The mouse is attractive even for those that aren’t into League of Legends if you fancy a stylized white mouse with a bit of RGB added. Logitech has always made good peripherals and this is yet another strong addition to that list!

Great mouse, for real. The white part kind of looks like an egg, which is neat. Scrolls pretty well, comfy palm fit - I have been crushing spreadsheets, pivot tables, noSQL, Tableau, Domo, all the queries. If you need a new mouse, and you like using those little balance weights to get swipe and scroll swoll, don’t wait another second. Gobble this guy up.

All these gamers and their braided cables, they are ugly, catch lint, and catch on edges. This mouse alone is worth the purchase for the sensor coupled with the smooth cable alone. Award winning sensor, awesome color scheme, and smooth cable. Im down.

I suffer from carpal tunnel so I decided an ergo mouse was essential for me to be able to use a computer and/or game comfortably. Prior to getting a G502, I had just used whatever mouse I had laying around, usually a Lenovo or Microsoft mouse. Im not a pro gamer by any means, however I always assumed that gaming mice were gimmicky money grabs. I initially was looking at vertical mice which are supposed to be better for wrist comfort, but many people mentioned that a good ergo mouse can be just as good, so after researching I kept seeing the G502 making the top of many lists, so I decided to try it, as the price was reasonable (much cheaper than most decent vertical mice!) and I really liked how it looked. I initially got the normal G502, not the KDA version, and after a few days of using it normally I was amazed at the difference from the plain old normal mice I had been using, both from a comfort perspective, and at an accuracy and general ease of use perspective. The features that I really enjoy the most are the toggleable high precision button, and the ability to switch the scroll wheel from click to freewheel. I dont often switch the DPI between apps, but having the ability to do so, is appreciated. I didnt notice much difference when switching out the weights, but I ended up using a couple weights at the rear of the mouse and again while I am not a pro gamer, it is nice to be able to customize to your liking. Being able to lower the DPI while holding a button is an extremely nice feature, both for games and for general use when a little extra precision is needed. I see a lot of people complain about the GHub software however I have not had any issues to report so far. I appreciate the ability to save profiles on the mouse, so you can seamlessly switch devices, even to a Linux box and your settings carry over. My Wifes mouse failed so I let her borrow my G502, and she liked it so much, that I bought the KDA version for myself and she kept my original! She claims much more comfort and easier inventory management in games like Stardew Valley. Overall this is a solid mouse, offering lots of nice features for the price and its a joy to use, as well as being comfortable and attractive to look at. The RGB lights go well with my RGB keyboard. (thats worth something, right?)

I use this mouse for gaming and general pc use, and it is infinitely better than the cheap wireless mouse I used to have. The input is amazing, and the shape fits really well in my hand. I like being able to change the dpi and scroll wheel with the small buttons on top. The K/DA design looks absolutely stunning, and this is one of the few white computer accessories you can get for a decent price. It feels and functions identically to the regular G502, but with a different but beautiful aesthetic.

+1.5 months daily usage. Heavy, awkward and the scroll wheel is janky, clicking the scroll wheel is inconveniently hard to press without moving it up or down.

For what I use it for it’s great however I do wish the mode buttons were placed further away from the forward and backward buttons cause I keep accidentally hitting them when trying to change pages

I absolutely love this mouse, looks great, very responsive, ultra low latency. I like heavy mice, my son likes them light the great thing about this mouse is that you can customize it very easily just by popping open the magnetic base and add or remove the weights. I have the exact same mouse but all black in color and wireless with a charging pad. Problem is my son always leaves it off the charging pad and finds it dead once and a while. Only once and a while because there wireless one is amazingly easy going on the battery. But I was surprised to hear my son was really excited to finally have a wired mouse no more stress with a low battery mouse! The mouse is loaded with programmable buttons that are easy to use and the mouse wheel can be clicky or free spinning with a click of a button (I love this feature). My son says black is going out of style and white is more in for your computer and peripherals. So this mouse is right up his alley. He is soo stoked to get it and he is happy to give me all the black colored plastic peripherals.
