Identical to the Pico remote that comes standard with the Caseta dimmer but in black. Includes instructions to easily pair it to the wall switch.

I bought two remote dimmers to replace one that my dog chewed up (!) I was worried that it might be complicated to pair the new dimmers with the existing switch, but it was super simple to do and literally took seconds to pair each one. Im very happy (and will be sure to keep these ones out of my dogs reach).

My wife does not like changing the lights in the house by using her phone. It is too complicated she says. So I gave her the Pico remote and now she is happy. We have one by the bed, one by the couch and we use one to make a hallway light a three-way without expensive wiring.

Anyone dabbling in home automation should be aware of just how many permutations of similar products exist for any given manufacturer. Lutron takes this to the extreme. The packaging of the Pico without faceplate contains a small plastic piece necessary for flat, even mounting on the wall. I use 12 lb version Command picture hanging strips for this. If you want to go upscale, get the version with WALL at the end. However, beware that this is a much larger mount which cannot be easily cut down and adapted for other purposes. If you wish to mount this on an electrical box or by the edges with thick double sided tape or Command strips and make it look pretty, get the WALL. If you just need a handheld remote and might stick it to the wall at some point, get the BRL. The white sections of the remotes themselves are interchangeable. The clear parts which they slide on are the difference.

I love my Lutron switches. They are easy to install if you know how to install regular light switches. The best feature for me is the integration with Apple Home Kit.
