> 3 dayThis works exactly like a standard outlet polarity/ground checker, with the added benefit that it provides surge protection and that it is in line with your power source. Installation of this is quite simple, just plug this into the power source you will be using for your trailer/RV, read the lights to determine if there are any issues with the electrical, then plug in your RV/trailer power electrical cord into the device of all is ok, at which point you are also getting surge protection. It comes with a lock/cable to secure the device but I frankly dont see the value in it. If someone is going to get close enough to steal this from my trailer/RV, the lock/wire will not be enough of a deterrent, in my opinion. One item that was a bit of a mystery to me is that it came with a large clear plastic bag, not entirely sure what this was for since no instructions are included beyond whats on the sticker of the plug, and box.

> 3 dayItem works as advertised and appears well made. It has Surge protection and is much less expensive than other overpriced similar items. It checks line connection and also provides surge protection. Would buy again.

> 3 dayUsing it for my motorhome to plug in the 30 amp box in the driveway. I had just installed the box and was happy to see it works as it should. The box is waterproof but this adds another layer of water resistance and I can see at a glance if the power is working correctly. Plus it has a locking feature that may be useful.

> 3 dayThis is a great little unit. The circuit analyzer shows you quickly if the power post is wired correctly or if theres an issue that may hurt your electrical service in your camper AND it guards against voltage spikes. Plug the unit into the post, verify that all is well, then plug your campers power cord into the surge protector. Over and done. Simple to use, great value. The cover may be a bit tight or not close entirely if your male connection is oversize. Itll still works just fine though.
