The story appeals to small children and is particularly nice as it is told in rhyme. Also it is nicely illustrated. I plan to purchase additional Madeline books in the future to accompany the Madeline doll gift.

A classic thats short and sweet.

I loved this book as a little girl, as did my daughter. I just gave it to my Granddaughter who had me read it over and over when I visited.

Ordered for my 3 month old niece for her first Christmas. This was always a favorite of mine and my sister’s. We read the book to my niece together for Christmas. Even at 3 months old she lit up and smiled. Wonderful book.

Got this new but original version of the first Madeline book about a little girl who....well, if you know the story, here it is in all its perfection. If you havent read or know the story, Ill not spoil it for you. Got the book to go with the Madeline 16 Soft doll on her 75th anniversary (1939-2014). Classic storybook for the little ones in your life. Even if you dont buy the book, get it from the library to pass along to future generations-if for nothing more than historical trivia.

Great book

Im scratching my head. I dont understand why this book is such a classic. Hated it and didnt want to finish reading it to my daughter. Story is not what I would consider kid friendly.
