I bought it, not for a child, but to reread a favorite from my childhood.

Great book! More adventures with Madeline!

Always a classic. I bought this for my niece after she had her appendix out. My sister said that she loved the book and has read it several times already. The cover was torn when the first one arrived (paperback) but it was promptly replaced by amazon with no issues. Very happy with the purchase.

Narrated in two voices, the rhyme scheme comes to life. The CD includes several French songs and explanations as a little taste of French culture. My 5 year old is just crazy about this book & CD and sings the songs to herself often!

Raise a fierce daughter—give her Madeline! I did, and now my 36 year old daughter is an FBI special agent. “And to the tigers in the zoo, my girl just says ‘poo poo’.” ;-)

The story appeals to small children and is particularly nice as it is told in rhyme. Also it is nicely illustrated. I plan to purchase additional Madeline books in the future to accompany the Madeline doll gift.

Has been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl. Now buying it for my grandchildren. reading it to them with the same pleasure

Purchased as a gift for my God Daughter who is awaiting the arrival of a baby girl. This is a shared memory for us as it was a favorite story to sit and read together when she was a little girl. This brought smiles to both of us.

This is a favorite story, however DO NOT buy the Kindle version. Total waste of money. Its like looking at bad photos of an old book. Im incredibly disappointed.
