> 3 dayI am very impressed by the quality, everything was well packaged and in their own plastic bag. The magnets are very strong, I almost could not remove it from the plate. The plate is just the right size for what I need to do.

> 3 dayThere are lots of similar products out there but I gave this a try and it works well. No paperwork in the box which came a little roughed up but that is due to the weight I assume. Everything looked great inside. I tried various configurations and it holds the boards very tight using the clips and the magnet pin soldiers work well. The bottom plate seems to be tough and not easily scratched or damaged. Its slightly more expensive than some other products but there are more support pieces here. I like the no-nonsense black look, too.

> 3 dayIve eyed these magnetic gooseneck style of helping hand setups for years, but have made do with other things I already had (like PCB holder or vise). Finally, I was working on splicing a heavy cable, and my existing tools werent holding things where I needed them, so I went browsing for an upgrade. This set with the magic hand caught my eye: the pcb holders and goose-necks are useful, but the helping hand is really handy for holding (and easily repositioning) things like 10 gauge cables. Small gripe - I just noticed the listing claims extra rubber covers for the alligator clips will be supplied but I dont see those. Really I dont care much - a bit of shrink tubing or electrical tape will take care of that if it becomes an issue. Its a little pricey in this magic hand configuration compared to some of the other options on Amazon, but at least for me I think its worth it.

> 3 dayI havent used it yet for any projects but I can tell you from past experience it will be a pleasure and performance boos to use over the straight helping hand system I had.

> 3 dayThe rubber pieces they are supposed to be attached to the bottom for stability were just thrown into the box with nothing covering the adhesive, so now they are stuck to everything in the box (attached photo). After peeling them off, theyve become useless because the adhesive is covered in ripped paper/cardboard. Not only that, 1 of the rubber feet is missing... only came with 3.

> 3 dayBetter than what I expected, would buy again and recommend to those looking for helping hands for soldering, etc.

> 3 dayI spend time soldiering wires to microcontrollers, and it can be quite the challenge to get everything held in place to solder them together with the correct placement and angles. After endless vice and clamp gymnastics that half the time had me burning my fingers, I bought this great product. It has enough holders to keep everything secure and in place, and makes getting correct, clean solders so much easier.

> 3 dayI bought the cheapest helping hands contraption with a magnifying lens you could imagine. It was ridiculous and i sent it back within 10mins of opening the package....what junk. A lot of the other helping hands had similar complaints so i saw this one and liked the removable arms of different sizes and the small pillars. I have used it a few times and love it...spend some money..make your life easier, because it will make the job or task at hand easier and more fun!

Greater than one weekHe’s y duty. The magnetic pillars are great. The arm for a hot air gun or a microscope is a wonderful addition. Great product. Very versatile.

> 3 dayI had been using a traditional third hand tool for years (2 alligator clips on a short pole with a magnifying glass in the middle) and it was never really great. I got back into soldering again recently and saw that new third hand tools were out now, and so first tried one with a similar design but plastic arms. it was awful. Tried this one next and the difference was AMAZING. My only complaint is I wish it came with a light like some others do
