Greater than one weekI had to drill out a hole for one of the clips and hot glue the magnets in the base of two of the arms, otherwise it works as it dhould.

> 3 dayWould have been a 5 STAR if hadn’t been for the cheap plastic thumb nut on the big clamp! The thumb nut is for locking the clamp into position but when you try to lock it, the threads strips making it useless. There are two thumb nuts, one is metal but only one, the other is plastic. Everything else is made well, why they used a plastic nut is beyond me. I paid $50. For this but with plastic nuts, it’s not worth that! Thinking about returning it.

> 3 dayI’ve been an tinkerer for years. Had some of the cheap helping hands tools. They’ve always failed, or broken. Pros: - It’s sturdy and doesn’t shift while working - Solid build materials - High diversity in the arms allows manipulation of a lot of materials Cons: - The clips utilize screws to keep them in place. Which can come out fairly easily - No ESD clip/mount so be careful Wish there was a light (which I simply build) and that there was a better way to manage the alligator clips. Other than that it’s a solid tool that anyone working with electronics should have.

> 3 dayI bought the cheapest helping hands contraption with a magnifying lens you could imagine. It was ridiculous and i sent it back within 10mins of opening the package....what junk. A lot of the other helping hands had similar complaints so i saw this one and liked the removable arms of different sizes and the small pillars. I have used it a few times and love it...spend some money..make your life easier, because it will make the job or task at hand easier and more fun!

> 3 dayThe alligator clamps do not have rubber pads. It has heat shrink, which i have found to be pretty harsh on thin wires.

> 3 dayI cant believe Ive been using my old paperweight with arms helping hands this long. This one has made my little home DIY projects so much easier with the ability to stabilize pcbs without using any of the clamps. I tried all of my tools on it. I found a solution for everything that made its use more convenient while still leaving plenty of room for my project. My new favorite tool.

> 3 dayShould have bought this years ago! I’ve been using it every day since it arrived. The magnets are super strong and don’t have any issues holding and soldering small circuits and PCBs. The tiny stand offs make it much easier to use a solder sucker as it won’t move. Right now I’m only using the two smaller flex hands and all the stand offs. Super useful and I can’t complain. Definitely a recommend for anyone who’s soldering a lot.

> 3 dayNot the absolute best holders Ive ever used but theyre also not $800. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone not wanting to spend that kind of money. Super high quality for both consumer and pro-sumer grade equipment.

> 3 dayI have been “soldering” (repair, creating electronic projects) for many years, and I have used many different “jigs” to help me with challenging tasks... this is by far the most versatile, robust, well thought out and beautifully constructed set of “helping hands” I have ever used! Cudos to the designers and makers of this product! Nothing flimsy about it at all, all parts fit well and clearly, top notch materials have been used in its fabrication. I highly recommend this product!
