Print on some things were becoming harder to read. Just a magnifying glass wasnt enough. This with light attached, makes big difference. Easy to install batteries. Love it.

This magnifying glass is a great product. Its easy to handle and perfect for my needs. The bright light makes reading easy and smooth. I highly recommend this product to help anyone make reading easier.

I bought this for my husband who has significant reading problems. He is an avid reader and I dearly hope that this magnifying glass will help. I found it be easy to hold. It certainly did magnify print for me. I made an error in thinking that this did not need batteries. It does and it will have these batteries soon. Once the batteries are bought and inserted, I can speak to the 4 star ratings. It can be used without the batteries, but you wont get the lights. Update: When I tried to insert the batteries, the entire piece slid off. I noticed that one coil was as it should be while the other coil was bent. I left it without the batteries inserted for the present.

I have RA so it’s easy to hold. The magnification is good.

What really makes this magnifier great is the light. Really helps read small print without having to hold what you are reading under a lamp. Uses 2 AA batteries that seem to last a long time (at least for me). Very happy with this purchase. I bought extras as gifts for friends birthdays & they all love them.

Overall, I am pleased with this purchase. It is advertised as having a 30X magnification. I think that number is way way off. I think it is really 3x magnification. This is not backed up with a scientific test on my part. In my layman terms, I think that is all that it is. With that being said, it is perfect for what I bought if for. The lights on it really work well. The glass lense, and not being plastic was a major plus. The price was very reasonable I can recommend it on the contingency that you dont expect it to magnify 30X. I bought it to read tiny instructions that seem to be the norm these days and it suited me fine for that. I think if it truly magnified 30X it would be way to powerful and annoying to use.

Im digitizing a TON of old film slides. This magnifying glass, along with a magnifying loupe and a small light pad have been really helpful with this task.Film slides are very small. Like a regular magnifying glass, but it lights up what you want see up close, great feature!
