> 3 dayI purchased the magnifying glass to be able to see faces/dates on old family photos. It has proven to be very useful.

> 3 dayFirst of all it is just what I needed. That being said I do have comments regarding how product is described. - it weighs 9.6 ounces not the 7oz described; 11.3 is with batteries -my husband has low vision and requires magnifier to read anything including his smart phone; although the magnification is similar to what he uses, this magnifier is much heavier; not good for long term reading for seniors I bought this for me. I have normal vision changes due to age so I just need it to read fine print which seems to be on everything. Lol. great for closeup detailed work or even just to remove a splinter. I would not want to use it to read a book or even a newspaper. I give it 5 stars for my use but I gave it 3 because of what it is described for specific people.

> 3 dayThere is a circle of LEDs (12) that a few said focused the light into a ring pattern leaving the center relatively bare. I disagree with that! It is one of the first things I checked and I found the light pattern to be an even spread. Also. I found the brightness to be just right but not so bright that it causes glare. I cannot recommend this magnifier for reading, per se, if that is what you are needing. The field is too narrow for reading (although I suppose you could) but is perfect for very fine print or fine detail. I always have a magnifier within arms reach for that purpose. I got exactly what I wanted and Im pleased with it. There might be a better one out there even for the money but frankly I got tired of looking. Yes, I checked all of my local brick and mortar stores too. It looks and feels to be solidly constructed albeit a little heavy and bulky. (Which is my only complaint)

> 3 dayI put the two AA-size batteries in and turned them on. Worked so well that I ordered three more. Now I have one in every room that I read in!

> 3 dayI have a 5x and 8x loupe and wanted something more powerful for coins. This is advertised as 30x - but its actually about 3x. The quality is fine - the glass is heavy, but clear. The lights are good, though a dimmer function would make it better. Not sure I want to keep it as I already have two that are slightly more powerful. But definitely dont like giving my money to sellers who are not truthful about their product Updated 04/05/2023. After having this a few days I realize that the under-powered, 3x magnification is not sufficient. I also read other reviews that mention the fact this is not 30x magnification. If they seller is aware of this and continues to falsely advertise it, its intentional. I cannot support them. I have returned the item and will ensure I do not buy from them again.

> 3 dayMy 92 year old mom has very poor vision due to Mac degeneration and I have it as well at 64. The magnification and light made her able to read her crossword clues by herself I stead of me reading them as I have for the last couple years.
