whats good the gameplay is awesome kart costumization is great. Tracks are the best i have seen in any mario kart game. the anti gravity flying sections and underwater works so well together it makes the gameplay soo good. i love the game it great fun online is great even the graphics are amazing. whats bad: wish they gave a proper battle mode like double dash proper tracks and different game modes , that is the only major bad thing about this game otherwise for me and many others the online does not work cause of an error code its not that hard to fix just follow a simple walkthrough of how to fix the ip adress and dmz . overall love this game its got great tracks and gameplay i would put this and double dash as best mario karts cant decide which i like more!

I love this game, its very fun and probably the best installment in the mario kart series yet. I spent all day playing and still havent gotten bored as there are many new things to see every time you play a track. Some reviewers have complained about the items and the frequency of them however i havent found the coin item an issue at all; but rather the mushroom its far too frequent and you find people passing you from second with triple mushrooms with you having no chance to overtake again. That being said it doesnt bother me too much and the mechanics and beautiful graphics win every time. I got monster hunter free with this purchase so i think it was well worth the price!!! Glad I bought from amazon as two previous tries at purchasing this on another (cheaper) site failed, i was much more satisfied with amazon as i know it is reliable.

nintendo just know how to make a fun game, worth every penny and its great to play online also looks and sounds awsome

My son absolutely loves this game. Definitely recommend. Just wish the games would come down in price

I was really looking forward to mario kart 8 but it just feels a bit underwhelming. Its very much the same as other mario karts with better graphics and more karts, characters, and tracks. The new gimmick is being able to drive on certain walls/ceilings with the new antigrav mode of karts. However, this can only be done at certain parts of the track but does add an interesting mechanic where people over take you upside down! Other usual things is having parachutes/hangliders to extend certain big jumps and driving underwater. Tracks are the usual fare and the power ups/weapons remain pretty much unchanged. Single player is boring at 50cc level as it is just too easy. While 150cc tends to be stupidly hard with seemingly constant red/blue shells raining down on you. Unfortunately I havent been able to try multiplayer or splitscreen. I suspect that is where the game really shines though. As a fun little racer it does everything it needs to. Its got good graphics with smooth frame rates, its just not that much fun on your own.

Best MK game in my opinion, the DLC makes it even more fun!

Incredible game bought when it first came out and still playing. A great joy playing it with friends when theyre over. With several new items to play with including the new Super Horn (which I rather call the Boombox) to counter the Blue shell. Being able to play online with a friend was a treat and the customisation, tho overwelming at first, is a nice feature thats creative and can add a little personal touch.
