Greater than one week[Wednesday, May 24, 2023] This is my 2nd external hard drive Ive boughten (1st one I bought was back in February 2009 -- 1 TB -- and it lasted me all the way to June 2021 then it died on me] now I have a 500 GB instead...so far it is just fine!!

> 3 dayNo problems at all, sleek looking and easy to use. My only complaint is that its not 100% the storage capacity described. For example I bought a 500 GB and its max is 468 GB. Other than that, no complaints.

Type of file system used for the drive, partitioning arrangement and type of operating system could affect the actual storage capacity displayed by your computer.
1MB=1,000,000 bytes, 1GB=1,000,000,000 bytes.
