I really wanted to like this pack. I researched it, but once I got my hands on it, I found too many short comings. First, the water bottle pockets have no stretch to them. This means that the bottle prevents you from using the pocket underneath. Second, the CCW pocket was great, but shouldn’t a CCW pack have a dedicated pocket for a Level IIIa plate? I knew this going in and thought I could jury rig something, but for $165 it should have a dedicated pocket. The other issues i had were minor and I might have over looked them had it not been for these first two. This pack has lots of good features: generous laptop sleeve and quality materials. the modularity of the add-on hook&loop pockets is nice… but at $20 each they add to the overall cost. By the time I had set up the pack I was into it for the same as a Gamut 2.0… so that is what I traded in for. Much happier too. Sorry Maxpedition…. but I did try your pack first.

You get Maxpediton durability without looking like a militia man. Good to go unnoticed but has the build quality without drawing attention to yourself. Two criticisms. Needs an attachment for h20 bladder. And the bottle holders are kind of useless. I kinda with they has a velcro attachment down in so they could function as a pocket. I will probably modify it once the newness wears off. Great pack though. I got the 27, felt its a good size for everyday carry.

The entity 27L fits my daily needs without looking tactical. I tend to carry it only using one shoulder strap. Fits 15.5 laptop in laptop sleeve w/power pack and cord all in the laptop area. It will fit Nalgene 32oz bottle but you cant have the pocket behind it stuffed, I store folding knife in that pocket an ear buds. The other pocket i carry cell phone charger, power pack w/cables, pens, markers, in the outside pocket I carry id badge and tie it to side handle, able to scan it without taking it off my shoulder. Inside the main I carry couple folders, lunch bag, multi tool, fixed blade, small umbrella, plenty of room left, put my keys inside pocket. In the picture Nalgene 32oz fits no problem the other pocket packed with stuff fits thermos travel mug but tight fit. Now it would be nice if they put a zipper on the side pockets so they could be expandable like on Entity crossbody bag. I also had the 23L bag and felt it was to small for my needs the 27 is perfect for daily routine and travel. The CCW is not lockable, the zippers are somewhat hidden and compartment rest against back but plenty of padding. As with anything and being responsible I wouldnt leave it unattended if you have CCW in it, locking it in main pack doesnt stop someone from taking pack and its only a zipper.

I like this backpack a lot and its not as obvious as some of the other backpacks with molle all over it. The compartments are roomy and the zippers and pulls are very well made. The computer compartment has plenty of room for a 15 laptop and tablet. The main compartment has two zippered pouches and side pockets. It also has two outside side compartments for charging cables, pens and other accessories. There are also two back-side zippered pockets for conceal carry. I have traveled with this bag all over the world in about a year and it has held up very well.

I purchased this bag to replace an STM bag that Id carried with me for years. I read as many reviews as I could, watched countless YouTube videos and decided to take the plunge with this one. Overall, Im not blown away. I think there is a very specific form and function this bag serves, Im not sure its 100% for me. I wanted a durable bag that has strong zippers, and wont wear out in a year. One of the main components that I was looking for in a Tactical style bag was that it had an easily accessible sleeve for a laptop. This bag offers an easily accessible sleeve for a laptop - but the fit is very sloppy on my 15 MacBook Pro. It would easily fit a 17 laptop, but it doesnt hold the laptop in place at all. If you were using this with a 13 laptop it would be WAY too loose. I dont plan on using the CCW features of this bag - however should the need arise, Im glad its there. The storage pockets are well built - zippered pouches galore - lots of room for all your bits and pieces. Time will ultimately tell if this is the right bag for me - but overall my impressions are bleh... I feel like for the price I should have gotten something much more substantial and the features should warrant the price. In this bag, I dont feel like they do.

Excellent build quality makes for a sturdy bag. Fits my 17” laptop with room to spare. It hasa few thoughtful pockets, not pocket overload like many. Has some nice features of a tactical bag, but doesnt look brovet/milsim/“I would have joined but I would punch a drill instructor if he got in my face!” Perfectly fine aesthetics for a commuter or office bag. Zippers and pulls feel like they will last a long time.

This backpack is comfortable, seems like it is built very well, and I like the looks of it. The interior is a little small for normal sized folders and textbooks. A 3 ring binder would not sit flat i the bottom and must be wedged in the bag at an angle. Not the best bag for students.

I am not an “operator” and will never conceal carry. The riskiest environment the bag will be in will be sharp elbows trying to get an overhead bin on a Delta flight. I am a traveling consultant...4 wheel carryon spinner and laptop bag. I have had the bag for 2 weeks, 5 cities, and 6 flights. The main compartment holds everything I need including headphones, chargers, and every dongle and connection you can think of plus a few bags of chips and a lightweight coat. The laptop sleeve is padded and holds 1 laptop and 2 ipads and 1 notebook with no problem. The side pockets are huge for water and glasses case. The suitcase handle passthrough works like a charm. Even the conceal carry section now securely holds folders and a newspaper. Shoulder straps are very comfortable and since I am not going down range on a mission I can take off the waist straps. The quick release shoulder straps to grab your weapon is actually a great feature to take off the backpack in an airplane aisle without hitting a fellow passenger in the head. I have a few Maxpedition products including the Falcon II for hiking. Everything is high quality and will last forever.

The entity 27 is an ergonomic pack with padded shoulder straps and quick release buckles. There is a dedicated locking and padded compartment, which can hold a 15" Or 17" Laptop. The main compartment is also lockable and has Drawbridge straps for additional security. The front exterior has Tuckable magnetic Wings for quick temporary closing of the main compartment. The dual access rear CCW compartment is fully loop-lined, and a double-sided hook security lockout strip is included. Dual side ports are perfect for headphones, charger cables, etc. A rear trolley handle pass-through allows for off body carrying while traveling. There is also a removable waist belt with quick release buckles. The overall volume of the pack is 1648 cubic inches (27 liters).
