> 24 hourIve looked at Maxpedition gear for a few years now, and never really gone down that road - until now. Always settled for something a little cheaper, a little gaudier, a little...less than. But I kept eyeballing this gear for the appearance, the NTT (non tactical tactical), and the reviews - which were usually glowing - until I finally pulled the trigger (so to speak). A very solid, well crafted work of art. Its as fun to wear as it is to load up with gear. Every seam, every zipper, every aspect is designed for form AND function. Very satisfied.

> 24 hourThe entity 27L fits my daily needs without looking tactical. I tend to carry it only using one shoulder strap. Fits 15.5 laptop in laptop sleeve w/power pack and cord all in the laptop area. It will fit Nalgene 32oz bottle but you cant have the pocket behind it stuffed, I store folding knife in that pocket an ear buds. The other pocket i carry cell phone charger, power pack w/cables, pens, markers, in the outside pocket I carry id badge and tie it to side handle, able to scan it without taking it off my shoulder. Inside the main I carry couple folders, lunch bag, multi tool, fixed blade, small umbrella, plenty of room left, put my keys inside pocket. In the picture Nalgene 32oz fits no problem the other pocket packed with stuff fits thermos travel mug but tight fit. Now it would be nice if they put a zipper on the side pockets so they could be expandable like on Entity crossbody bag. I also had the 23L bag and felt it was to small for my needs the 27 is perfect for daily routine and travel. The CCW is not lockable, the zippers are somewhat hidden and compartment rest against back but plenty of padding. As with anything and being responsible I wouldnt leave it unattended if you have CCW in it, locking it in main pack doesnt stop someone from taking pack and its only a zipper.

> 24 hourI traded in my Maxpedition sling bag for a less tactical look with the Elite 27. The downside is I miss the modular accessability. The shoulder strap mounted pouches are truly dorky looking. There are interior and exterior side zip pockets as well as side bottle pockets but if you fill the interior zip pockets the exterior ones can hold very little and water bottles do not fit. But Im sure the pack holds 27l of ping-pong balls somehow!

> 24 hourI got this for my son to use for college. We were tired of buying a new backpack every year and decided to invest in something that will last him 5 or more years and this was the best choice around...with Maxpedition you really get your moneys worth from their products!

> 24 hourI really wanted to like this pack. I researched it, but once I got my hands on it, I found too many short comings. First, the water bottle pockets have no stretch to them. This means that the bottle prevents you from using the pocket underneath. Second, the CCW pocket was great, but shouldn’t a CCW pack have a dedicated pocket for a Level IIIa plate? I knew this going in and thought I could jury rig something, but for $165 it should have a dedicated pocket. The other issues i had were minor and I might have over looked them had it not been for these first two. This pack has lots of good features: generous laptop sleeve and quality materials. the modularity of the add-on hook&loop pockets is nice… but at $20 each they add to the overall cost. By the time I had set up the pack I was into it for the same as a Gamut 2.0… so that is what I traded in for. Much happier too. Sorry Maxpedition…. but I did try your pack first.

> 24 hourI bought this as an overnight business travel bag, and returned it immediately. It is quite large. Would be fine as a backpack travel bag for 2-3 day trips.

> 24 hourThe bag is almost exactly what I was looking for. Hard use, non military looking bag. I have numerous maxpedition bags and they are all 10/10 quality. They just typically look tacticool. I only buy more because I have unique needs for different bags. This will be my daily carry. The set up is a little weird. Unlike a standard backpack, the main compartment is closer to the front than the sides and the opening isn’t very wide, but it does almost down to the very bottom of the bad. I think it will be fine, just have to get used to it. It doesn’t feel like the same material as my other maxpedition bags, but it may just be that the weave is considerably tighter. Maxpedition is definitely a buy-it-for-life company, so I’m hoping technology used in this bag is just better so the material doesn’t have to be as thick. The bag itself is very comfortable to wear. It could easily hold 2-3 days worth of cloths, food, and a couple things to do. Or a clip board, several books, lunch, and a all your other normal EDC stuff. It seems well made, but only time will tell. My falcon 2 maxpedition bag has been with me to 8 countries and probably twice that many states, on top of being carried every day at work and it shows little to no signs of wear. I’ll update this at some point when it goes through some more stress.

> 24 hourVery comfortable to have on your back even with a laptop in the pouch. Very durable. Plenty of storage. Love that it has a carry concealed section. Glad I bought it!

> 24 hourthis bag is expensive but very well made, strong and holds up carrying heavy stuff without any tears or damage.

> 24 hourReally great bag just keep in mind that to make it truly concealed carry functional you need to account for the price of the accessories(not included). Without them it’s a nice backpack. Zippers seem a little stiff.
