Mcglaughlin Oil Petrol-Gel Lubricant,White

Bought this for a two-wheel on a aquarium filter. Used it for the pegs, as it is waterproof. Seems to help with the spinning for sure. Needs semi weekly applications. Not sure if it is getting in my tank yet tho.

One coat of this product on the door gaskets and our side-by-side fridge doors no longer pop open when the opposite door closes! Also great for other rubber seals. Great product! (Hint: Its best to clean surfaces first, but I found that difficult with stains or sticky residue. Luckily a pre-coat with this product helps clean. Just rub a little into a stain/sticky and it comes right out. Wipe away, then swap to clean towel and apply new coat of product. A little goes a long way!)

I needed to grease the our French door fridge freezer, I got this but now it makes it very difficult to open and close the freezer, but it got harder opening and closing when I applied this on the slide and teeth. I had to wipe most of it off so the door would slide easier.

Great lubricant nontoxic

I bought this for the slicer that I presently have as well as a new one that I purchased. It is great quality and I like how it doesnt goop all over. This will last quite some time.

I was looking for some lubricant for our kitchen faucet as I have run out of the little tubes that come with some repair kits. I didnt want to get a container because I prefer not to stick or drop anthing in and have contamination. Figure I get a large tube that can be useful for a variety of applications. Squeeze out whats needed, the rest inside stays clean. This lubricant is labeled Sanitary Petrol-Gel Lubricant. The tube states it is WHITE but its really just CLEAR. The tube claims its absolutely tasteless and odorless. I can confirm it is odorless, the tasteless part...Ill let you determine that. On the back of the tube, helpful hints on uses; valves, pistons, O rings, gaskets, sanitary pumps, glides, slide mechanisms. Also states for Food Plant use. As well as the disclaimer - where contact with food is only incidental. Im sure that is requested by the lawyers to mean dont go expecting to use this as oil to cook your favorite food. There are times when 4 ounces dont sound like much, like in a bag of candy or a drink but in this case, 4 oz looks to appear enough for 4 generations of families or 40 generations, if you dont lose it or misplace it first. Oh, and on a final note, I dont know if this is also THAT kind of lubricant if you know what I mean. Not that I have tested or anything, just throwing that out there in case anyone thinks I wonder if.... On a final final note. Getting back to being serious. This is a lot of lube. Look at a typical tootpaste about the same quantity and imagine each use of the lubricant is 1/2 a pea size or so and most likely anything you lube will not require daily lubing. I wished it was sold in a smaller quantity such as 1 oz, even that would be quite a lot. This 4 oz is approx. 1 1/2 diameter at the top end (not the neck), flat width on the bottom is 2, and the length is 5 3/4. EDIT 6/13/13: Ok, originally I gave the lube 4 STARS, now I am revising it to 2 STARS. Heres why. I have so far used it on a few applications but on the O rings in my kitchen faucet and as far as I can tell, it appears to feel like it isnt properly lubing the rings. Swinging the faucet left and right, feels slow with more resistance than I would like, the kind of feeling that makes it feel like it could do with some lubing, except it was lubed with this lube. Whats Im going to do is pick up something at the local hardware chain and compare it. I had purchased a meat slicer for a Christmas present, along with its none serrated blade and this product. The first tube I received was all smashed up (it looked like someone beat on a table with it) so I called Amazon and ordered another one. When I got the second tube it was worse than the first. The tube is made of a soft metal material so the wrinkles and smashed parts cant be smoothed out. Needless to say that I wont be including this product in the Christmas gift. Each order was for a new item. I have to wonder who on earth would think what I got looked like a new product. All that being said, I dont know if the actual product is any good because the packaging was so badly mangled I will not be giving it as part of the gift.

Disliked the fact the tube was pretty well beat up, but no leaks. Probably was damaged somewhere along the chain from manufacturer to Seller. Glad though its intact and I have some lube for my electric meat slicer gears.
