05-06-2025I was using a standard RCA connector and was getting a small humming from the subwoofer. Not bad, but noticeable. I moved the old RCA connector away from the power cords at the back of the receiver to help somewhat. I installed this with the additional shielding and the hum is gone regardless of proximity to the power cords. I only needed to run 4, so the signal strength decay was not an issue, even with the cheap RCA connector that I originally used.

> 3 dayWell built cables. Especially compared to other RCA interconnects. These are being used to connect my 7.1 surround preamp to my 7 channel amplifier. These do not have to used specifically for sub-woofers. They are more than capable of delivering the entire frequency response to your devices. Again, comparing these to the competition.....its a no brainer. I would like to add, these cables came WELL packaged. No silly blister packs, no antistatic bags. They were packaged in a taped, durable cardboard box. Quick shipping as well. A very good product at a very inexpensive price that does exactly what its supposed to do and does it very well.

> 3 dayI was using a red and white RCA stereo audio cable for a subwoofer cable. I had the white line plugged into the subwoofer and the receiver while the red line just hung there with it, not plugged into anything. This worked until the cats knocked the power strip too close to the subwoofer. Or at least I think they did. Anyway, I noticed one night the subwoofer had been activated from its standby state as if it detected a signal. Then it started emitting an endless hum. After a few minutes I figured out it was magnetic interference. Moving the cable further from other cables made the hum go away. But it was difficult to keep it away from everything. I ordered this cable due to its advertised magnetic shielding. So far, there has been no phantom humming noise and no incidental waking the subwoofer from the standby mode even while the receiver is off. I think the magnetic shielding is working. Also the cable looks incredibly thick next to the stereo audio cable, as shown in the picture.

> 3 dayI upgraded my subwoofer cables from cables I bought 20 years ago. In my new setup I was experiencing some hum, replacing my old cables with these (and what I assume is due to their improved shielding and conduction properties) and it reduced the hum significantly. Yes, hum is a ground loop problem, but these actually worked better than a device I bought on amazon to remove ground loop (actually made it worse). Good construction and materials, snug fit to the connectors. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayIve ordered several Mediabridge cables (both HDMI and Optical) and have been very impressed with the quality of all. Ive seen cables at ten times the price that were no where close to the quality of these cables. All have worked flawlessly and Im very happy with my purchase. I would highly recommend to anyone. Shipping was fast too!
