Great first puzzle. The pieces are large and have big knobs on the top - very easy for your little one to grasp. The bright colors make the pieces easy to locate (our child likes to push things under tables or sofas). Underneath the pieces the board itself has the same design as the pieces, so it is easier for your child to match what goes where. The wood is very durable. The paint does not chip or come off easily.

My 11 month old has been playing with this for a couple of months now. The handles are very durable and east to pick up. She uses them to make music. The wood/stickers are coming off when she gets them wet. So that could be a little better. Other than that I recommend.

Got this puzzle for my granddaughter and she loves it. she can tell you the colors and what the animal are and can put the pieces in without getting frustrated. I like the larger pieces and the knobs on them. It makes it easier for her little hands to control.

Perfect for my 2 year old

Got for my 1-year old son and it took several months for his interest to pique, and around 18 months he got pretty into this (and other M&D puzzles) and at 2 years he still plays with them daily.
