Metal MIC HOLDER / Clip - Screw In for CB / Ham Radio - Workman MH2

Brittle steel. They were too tight to fit our mics. They should have been spring steel which would tolerate a little fixing into shape. 3 broke when trying to spread open the fingers.

Its a minor point, but irritating. And maybe its not even the manufacturers fault. But the width of the hanger button on the back of my 2m mobile microphone (Kenwood TM-221a) is 0.507 inches. Thats 507 milliinches for for those of you who judge me for not using metric. The width of the slot the microphone button has to fit into is 0.440. So theres only 0.067 (67 milliinches) of engagement between the hanger button and the holder. So the microphone button doesnt engage the holder and drops out. Not a huge problem. I can make one that will work. The old machinists joke being, It costs what? I can make one for probably twice that! Be forewarned. If you have a newer radio with a smaller hanger button, it might not work with this clip.

I use this for mounting my mic in an F150 - two small holes drilled to attach the mic holder and my mike is just where I want it. It fits my mic perfectly and snugly and does not rattle - not much else to say about it - no moving parts and works perfectly.

I needed a couple of these for a project in the car and also one for a mic in the hamshack. These worked and solid metal. No issues here.

Although the screws that are included are wood screws, you should be able to find some ones that fit your holes on whateveritis that you are mounting it on...or you can always steal them from another part of your CB casing by taking one from here...and one from there...Great!
