Greater than one weekI don’t have the knowledge to get one of these devices up and running had to return it you better have some knowledge on how to configure this thing before you purchase

> 3 dayIt is a nice upgrade. Lots of ram and storage space. I did not require the LCD screen or the USB port because i send the logs and the flows to an external server. Keep in mind that to use this device you should have basic networking skills. Overall it is a good router.

> 3 dayThis is a superb piece of hardware at a great price. In my initial testing I was really pleased and impressed with the performance. So if youre a professional with deep understanding of how to set this up, go for it. (But read the rest of my comments here first.) If youre not a pro, or at least someone with extensive network management expertise, you might wish to consider something with an easier management interface. The basic configuration was simple enough. But I wanted to set up WAN failover. And I wanted to set up basic security stuff, including setting it to disable pings and connection attempts from the WAN side. I hadnt even gotten to the advanced capabilities. But it was frankly just a giant pain. The website guide and the forum were barely helpful, especially when professionals argued with one another about how to best do something. (Not a confidence builder.) This took hours of trial and error. And just resetting the router is a pain, you have to hold the button for 30 seconds, after which it might or might not reset. Finally, I thought I had it all done right, and was happily running tests. And then I found out that I had somehow managed to disable the ability of my wifi access points to connect to the network. At this point I decided to accept defeat, rather than spend another day trying to figure it all out. I sent it back, thank goodness for Amazons excellent return policy. I wish Mikrotik would invest in a really nice GUI, and a small set of config wizards: yes, that would add cost, because good software costs money. But I think it would greatly increase the appeal of their products. Even pros like ease of use, because it saves time and hassle and reduces chances of error.

Greater than one weekAmazing router few to zero problems, never restart. If you are not a geek you may have trouble with setup. Setup is not bad just a little technical

> 3 dayI bought this to replace an RB2011UiASrm because I couldnt push anywhere near the bandwidth I had available on the WAN through the 2011 using srcnat. The 4011 is an awesome next gen router. Im easily getting 600Mbs/s NAT traffic through the WAN, even with about 30 firewall rules in place and CPU is till >10%. Nothing but good things to say about it EXCEPT: It does run a little warm. Not a big deal, but leave some air space around it, it needs it. and the bracket is a POS! I dont know why they cheaped out on the rack mounting bracket, but its complete junk and held in place by 2 tiny little screws (2 total, one on each side). Other than the bracket, this thing is a real jewel.

> 3 dayWorks absolutely fine. No issues whatsoever. It is a good alternative to a wireless router when you are a little concern about wi-fi radiation and your main cable is coming in next to your bedroom. Now, the wi-fi router is moved to the kitchen, which is anyway very close to the center of the house and coverage is greatly improved and nobody should be worry about wi-fi ration during the sleep.

> 3 dayIts so easy to pay 3x, 4x, or even more for other routers that dont have a fraction of the features of this one. It is pretty complicated and definitely NOT for the faint of heart, but you can make this thing do just about anything you can imagine, and there are a ton of videos and tutorials online to help you. On top of the features, it is F-A-S-T...I have seen sustained network bandwidth of 980+ Mbps!
