> 3 dayI read other reviews that said this was not accurate but for the price I was willing to take a chance. The one I received gives accurate readings as far as I can tell. I compared the readings to a more expensive thermometer/hygrometer I had as well as to my Nest thermostat and they all had very similar readings so I feel comfortable in relying on it. I am using it in an egg incubator and another reviewer stated that it provided inaccurate results in their incubator. Mine is a small forced air incubator and I needed something small to fit in it. I also receive temperature readings that are inconsistent with the reading on my incubator but I have found my incubator has warmer and cooler spots depending on where I place this in the incubator, I think this is to be expected because of the physics of warm air rising and the proximity of the incubator’s temperature sensor to the heating element where this sits lower in the incubator and closer to the edge of it where heat conduction is also a factor with the cooler walls of the incubator. I have another thermometer I used to calibrate my incubator at the level the eggs sit in it and I use this mostly for the humidity readings which appear to be quite accurate.

> 3 daySmall units are definitely function over form, which is fine for the price point. The construction design seems like its intended to be able to mount onto other objects. There is no branding so I suspect multiple companies sell them and/or add them to their preexisting products. They need a few hours to settle once theyve been removed from the packaging. Out of the 5 purchased they ran about 3 degrees in deviation from each other, both temperature & humidity. Recommend buying 4-6 units & placing them next to each other. Any that are way off the average reading should be returned as defective. The lack of instructions/manual & crude construction doesnt instill a ton of confidence so I use two in each of my cigar tupperdors. Ive been happy with the synchronization & ease of reading.

> 3 dayI use this to check the humidity of my guitars. It arrived quickly, with a set of batteries installed and an extra set in the box - a nice touch. It is accurate and easily fits in a guitar case. You cant beat the value for the price.

> 3 dayOff by 1.5 degrees, which when hatching eggs, is imperative to have accuracy.

> 3 dayThis seems to work just fine, but Im sometimes confused by the two numbers. I would expect the temperature to be the number that takes up most of the screens real estate.

> 3 dayBought this to monitor the humidity in my humidor. As for accuracy, I dont have an easy way to test it, but it matched my digital thermostat very closely, which has a humidistat built in. (I know it warns you not to do that, but it was all I had.) For cigars, you just have to be in the right ballpark, so a percent or two off wouldnt be the end of the world. Does what I need it to. Good price too!

> 3 dayIts a pretty basic hydrometer but it does the job. I originally bought it to use with a new acoustic guitar i bought. It was intended to be stored with the guitar in the guitar case and use those Boveda humidity packs to keep it at a constant 49% humidity. But i have up on that idea after about 2 weeks when the humidity packs didnt seem to be making much of a difference. The humidity level was lower outside of the guitar case than it was inside of it. Ive never been one to store my guitars like that anyways. I have 2 acoustics and i now keep them on a guitar stand in the den next to my living room. Much easier this way as i rotate which one i play fairly often. I also believe its better to let your guitar break in naturally. When you hear people talking about their guitar opening up after owning them for awhile its not from storing them in a case. Its from playing them and keeping them out in the open. Letting nature cure the wood naturally. Anyways as far as the hydrometer i still use it just not for the original intended purpose. I use it in my basement to check the humidity level and see how accurate my dehumidifier is. Theyre fairly close within 5%. Its pretty basic but it does the job, easy to read.

> 3 dayI wasnt sure if the gauge on my humidor was working anymore, so I purchased this as added security. It worked like it says and is pretty accurate. I only purchased one, but wish I had grabbed two for my grow room too.
