Greater than one weekA simple tool, yet one thats essential if you do any type of milling, or even precision drilling. Works perfectly! No instructions included, but it is a standard type of edge finder and you can find simple directions on the internet if you arent familiar with this type of tool.

> 3 dayI had never actually used one before nor had I ever even seen one used but am quite impressed how repeatable the accuracy is. Im sure there are better units I could buy but I dont see why.

> 3 daySeems to be a very nice if unspectacular edge finder. Only had it a week or so but Ive used it a number of times and it did what you want it to -accurately found the edge I was working on. For the price I like what I got!

> 3 dayI recently installed a tang peep sight on a Winchester 9422 rifle. The work required drilling two holes in my beautiful, discontinued firearm. Margin of error was zero. Using this edge finder, I easily located the right spot, drilled, tapped, and mounted the sight. Perfection. Works as advertised. Get one if you want to locate your work to .001 or even better.

> 3 dayEdge finder works But i would gladly pay the extra $12 and get a starett! Dont get me wrong mitutoyo rocks for almost all measuring tools but for conventional edge finders Starett is literally the only one i will touch. Starett has .0002 repeatedly that is amazing for a edge finder this here mitutoyo hardly gets .0008 which may be good for some but if you are gonna start your setup off already everything else you do will be off by at least that much! It is such a small price to pay for accuracy! I have a $400 Haimer 3d taster and 5 interapids and i still need a conventional edge finder and that is a starett. $25 well spent!!

> 3 dayI bought this because the budget version I was using was wearing out or somehow got damaged. This is somewhat more expensive, but not by that much, and it just works better. The motion of the head at the edge point is significantly more, so easier to see, and when you back off a little, it comes right back to the center. For work with students, who dont always take it as slow as they should, this makes a big difference.
