The marketing materials they put with this online make this full spectrum lighting seem like a godsend. It does function as lighting and it functions to provide a light source when coupled with a timer. That is exactly as it was advertised to do. However, my Avian Vet from the University has stated that I need a UV light. Ill have to buy a second light to provide the purpose that this one was originally going to do.

We bought this for our Noble Macaw. His cage is in front of a window most of the day, but the high E windows block most all the natural UVA and UVB. Since purchasing this light, our bird seems more content and enjoys relaxing under the light when on. It doesnt get hot to the touch, so when he is on top of his cage it doesnt bother him to walk across it. The cord is well shielded, but I wouldnt let any bird chew on it! We really like this product, and the ordering and shipping were flawless.

Mister seems to like it. I set it to run from 9 to 4 each day and I think that he is more active when it is on. I think that he utilizes the bottom areas of his cage more because there is more light down thete. I did put it to one side so he can get out of the light when he wants to. He has tried to chew on it but mostly gave up because it is so tough. Bonus: I have a camera on him and this really lights up the cage when I check in on him from work.

The light is great. It comes with everything you need to mount it. Birds love it

I have tried different lights over the years for my birds since my house is fairly dark. This one is the best product I have come across so far. It gives them plenty of light so I dont have to worry anymore.

Exactly as pictured... the protected cord is VERY well done and ensures safety for the bird. My African Grey seems to be getting better healthier and her feathers are filling in after just a few weeks of use.

I’ve only had it for a day but so far my IRN has tried to bite it with no luck. It looks pretty and doesn’t get hot! Buy the timer for it bcs it has no on and off switch.
