Being a bird owner for the past 13 years we have had other lights that were for reptiles and are more dangerous as they dont provide the right light spectrum for birds. I was thrilled to find this for a reasonable price. Our 8 year old Cockatiel is more alert and stays up longer after having this light now for the past week. Since it is LED light, it is less dangerous than other bulbs. I would recommend anyone who owns birds purchase this light.

Very little direct sun in room where Birdie lives so the light has been a plus. In spite of being given quite a bit of freedom, she still chooses to hang out in her cage. Very easy to install on top of the cage. She has shown no interest in chewing, nothing is in her reach inside of cage. Very pleased with the purchase.

Very well made and easy to use. Bird doesn’t seem to mind it and I’m glad I could just attach it to the cage.

When I first attached to the top of the cage and it came on, my cockatoo wasnt sure about it. Within short time were differences in him and his behavior. He now loves it and will sit and preen under it.

I purchased this because I was extremely tired of avian bulbs that didnt last as long as promised & the behaviorial problems I had with my conure when those bulbs failed. Since I installed this light bar, Rex has done a 180 degree turn in personality...hes happy, wants to cuddle and play & just generally seems to be enjoying life more. It took about a week for him to get used to the light being attached to the top of his cage but, once he did, it been fantastic.

I really like the design made to prevent chewing. I have been using this light 3 days a week for my parrots and really see a difference especially in the one who likes to chew her tail feathers. She is chewing less. They all seem a bit happier and not so squawky. Give it a try. Worth every penny.

Nicely built, rugged construction. Skittish bird liked it right away. Only suggestion would be to include longer U-bolts to make it easier to attach to curved cage surfaces. Recommend!

Nice and bright, only problem was the end caps are plastic and not very good when you have a bird that destroys things and the rest of the light is metal
