> 3 dayI purchased this directly from Amazon (not a vendor selling through Amazon) for $22.00. It looks entirely different in appearance than the 2 year old authentic Moen cartridge (purchased from Moen) it replaces. This one is stamped M-O-E-N in big letters on the brass. The packaging is also extremely different than the previous authentic one. Considering that Moen sells their cartridge for $24.00, I hope I have not been duped in buying a Chinese copy.

10-06-2025I purchased a new one from Lowes that was not all brass and it leaked. Spend the money and get the brass one.

> 3 dayThis item I bought is listed on Amazon as Moen 1200 One-Handle Kitchen and Bathroom Faucet Cartridge Replacement, Brass. The part is indeed brass, is properly stamped MOEN, and came in original, sealed Moen packaging.

> 3 dayThis brass cartridge is superior to the plastic ones I found at Lowes & Home Depot. It has 4 O rings instead of only 2.

> 3 dayI bought this part in 2011 and had it sitting around for quite a while before changing the cartridge in a shower yesterday. I didnt notice that is replacement for the Moen part. The O-rings on the outside of the part looked loose, but what do I know. I installed the new part and the shower leaked. When I tried to pull the cartridge to look it over, the stem pulled out of the body. I got the body out and saw that one of the O-rings had split in half. So I had a part that didnt work and came apart. The genuine part I bought from the store for a couple of bucks more worked perfectly. Not a well made part.

> 3 dayI installed this into a Moen Chateau 7500 old sink faucet. It works great. (Note: the last time I needed to replace the cartridge I tried the Moen model 1225 which is made of plastic. When I tried to remove the old 1225, it broke leaving the bottom rubber parts and plastic piece in the faucet. I was able to remove the rubber pieces with some extended needle nose pliers and the bottom plastic piece with an extra wide and flat, flat tipped screwdriver that kind of wedged into the plastic piece allowing me to pull it out.) I believe these new all brass versions do not have the lead problem that the original all brass versions had. And most important they wont break when being pulled out for replacement.

> 3 dayBought the moen 1200 brass cartridge mid August for a stall shower. Although I have good home repair skills, took a while to get up the nerve to start . (have read about cartridges coming out but leaving outer body in place.) Using the cartridge puller, job went well; quick and easy. HOWEVER, the shower in full hot position provides a very strong flow. As you you rotate knob to cold, the flow starts to reduce at about the 12 o,clock position. At a comfortable water temp position the flow is barely enough to wet yourself. At full cold position it,s a bare trickle. Removed shower head to ensure problem was not there. Same reduced flow problem. Would be glad to change this to 5 stars if someone tells me if I somehow incorrectly installed unit. Update -I should have written earlier. Turns out a small piece of plastic had broken off the old cartridge and remained in place. Found out when I forget to turn off water while removing the cartridge and the piece flew out under pressure. Would now rate myself 1 star and the cartridge 5 stars.
