> 3 dayI love this bag. So much so, Ive purchased a second. One exclusively for work, and the other used as an EDC lite-bug out. The material is great, tough and sturdy. Enough pockets for whatever it is you want to tote (i.e. conceal) wink-wink. Its also very versatile and NON cumbersome, meaning its not clumsy or awkward in appearance or to carry. Like many other packs, satchels or slings, they are either too small, thin material, uncomfortable, not enough pockets or they are inconveniently placed. Not this bag.

> 3 dayAll I can say is that I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bag. I almost bought one of the smaller Versipacks, but Im glad I got this one. One of my major concerns was that I hadnt actually held this in my hands, I was buying off the internet. I didnt actually know how big it would be and what I could fit inside.

Greater than one weekIts nice if you ordered this product and like its features construction and utility. However there are so many different bags of this nature, a true review has to compare it to other tactical shoulder/sling bags in the sane category. The review has to be fairly recent as these bags usually get a yearly upgrade. I have their jumbo verapack as well as a few others. Heres the deal. This bag is going from my house to the car every day. Once in the car it remains there unless I need to tote it around town. Maxpedition is the company that sets the design standards for this and many other tactical bags. In a close second spot is Vanquest who is about to overtake the big Max. if they dont watch out. I own Vanquest as well. The Mongo is made of a ballistic nylon type treated high grade fabric whic tends to be stiff and thus holds its shape and shrugs off dirt and water easily. It has ample storage pockets but left out an administrative pocket. This is a glaring omission but I think the intent was to use this as a type of gun range bag or day hiking bag. Thats fine because I have their admin pouches as well as vanquests. But it gets half a star docking. I love the water bottle case. Can easily hold a 32 once bottle. The interior main space is large and roomy. The CCW placket is adequate for most auto handguns or can be additional storage for tablets or small computers. The other half star is because of the zippers which are quality but have the tendency to get hung up at times. likely due to the stiff material. Not a zipper flaw. Vanquest similar product uses a high quality codura and the zippers are better right out of the box. Thier material is softer and less stiff. That said Ill use the mongo as my edc bag until Vanquest gets their water pouches a little bigger. I find this size to be better suited for my needs. Ill sometimes put extra 32 oz water in main compartment and use a sea to summit 3 L dry river bag to put food and a blue ice pack. I usually bring a second bag for food and water but its nice to have the extra space for those times I only want one bag. This is a great bag, a trendsetter for the industry and should last more than a decade. Mine has the grab handles which are not shown in the picture. Look for shot show 2016 this month January 19-21. Vanquest and Maxpedetion should be duking it out. We the consumers will be the beneficiaries of this competition.

> 3 dayI bought a smaller jumbo versipack 1st and really like it but needed more room. Enter the mongo. Same fantastic quality as the jumbo but lots more room. Ive loaded it out 2different ways. 1St I packed in my regular EDC stuff from my jumbo and then started to carry as my EDC. That only lasted 3 days like that. That sucker is heavy. In a emergency get home situation I can carry it but for every day carry its a pain. Its current role is a truck get home bag. It holds my regular EDC stuff and the extras for emergencies. I have the smaller jumbo on me all the time and it carries me over to the big bag. This mongo could make a Great Tactical diaper bag. Update: Ive had the mongo for over a year now. This bag is still awesome! No rips or weak spots..still looks like new.

> 3 dayThe virtue of this bag is its durability. It is tough. On the other hand, this also means the fabric is not very flexible. With much use and over time, the bag does become more pliable. Ultimately, one buys this type of bag precisely because it is supposed to be durable and this one is.

11-06-2025I bought this as an EDC and a range bag. It fits my Sig and two 17 round mags perfectly. I also use it for work. Slung across my body with the bag carried to the rear it is amazingly comfortable. There are more compartments than I have stuff. The compartments are laid out in a very useful configuration. I am a firefighter so I carry my portable radio with the Mic attached and it fits like it was made for it. The nylon is tough and the quality excellent. I could not be more happy with this bag. Just buy it.

> 3 dayGreat bag. The description made it seem that putting a medium size laptop in it might be difficult but this is not the case.

Greater than one weekI have a few of these so called tactical bags. This for me is by far the best engineered bag. The amount of pockets and little nooks for stuff is just amazing. Originally used it as my EDC bag and even fit in my 13 inch laptop (yup, it fits....sort of, but you need to add in your own padding) for my daily trip to the office. Have since re-prioritised the bag for use as a Get Home bag that I keep in my car. Holds pretty much everything I need to get home should I ever get stuck away from home.

> 3 dayThis is a great bag for all your edc needs. All sorts of compartments and pockets to store all that you may need in a day. The back Pocket has been great for storing my firearm when its not convenient to wear in the supertuck. In the top pocket the little sleeves are great for holding the bit sets for my leatherman. The phone pocket holds the phone nice and snug even without the buckle snapped in. The water bottle slot holds my 1000ml camel back nicely. The one grip I can think of is the lack of a grab handle. That aside I couldnt be happier with the Mongo

> 3 dayNot a lot to say about this if one is familiar with this line and brand. Extremely tough, very comfortable to carry and user friendly. Have been using its smaller cousin, the Jumbo Versipak for over 4 years. This one is just as awesome only bigger. a lot more room to carry more. I cannot love Maxpedition products any more! This line is by far the best daily carry bag I have ever owned. Carry it everywhere I need a manpurse! I cant think of a reason to use any other bag or brand. Unitl some one makes something better, I will be a Maxpedition/Versipack user for life.
