I have a bit of a bag collection. I have every possible kind of bag from leather purses to countless tactical bags I use every day instead of carrying a purse. I have had my first maxpedition versipack for more then 8 years and I still carry it sometimes. When I saw that they made this bag I was so excited because it is so much larger than even the larger of the small versipacks. It has everything the smaller version has and more. It is compact enough to not be in the way when empty and when you need the room it really can handle almost anything you can stuff into it. On the daily I use the conceal carry pocket to keep my sidearm, two spare magazines and two pocket knives. This is all kept in place and easy to get to because of the Velcro wall on the back of the carry pocket. The water bottle pocket is big enough to carry a 64 oz water bottle. The retention strap is amazing to keep the bag nice and tight to my body when I long board with it and when I don’t, it tucks away. The front pocket also has Velcro so you can use it for any number of things including a carry pocket. The main pocket is large enough I used it to carry my laptop and book to attend school when I didn’t want to drag out a whole bag just for one class.

This bag is awesome. Constructed well and it has lots of room and compartments for various supplies. Would buy this and any other bag by this company in a heart beat.

I love this brand but tried to save a buck by purchasing the fakes on here. The quality was not even worth the reduced cost. The counterfeit is now my dog bag and I purchased a genuine Maxpedition for my stuff. Well worth the higher price.

Stepped up from a jumbo Versipack. The Mongo is basically the same thing but a couple inches wider. In some of the Maxpedition page images, this think looks to be about the size of a very large briefcase. It’s not that huge, at best a smaller medium size. It’s a great size for my everyday, and fits a full size iPad very well, even with the iPad in an otter box defender and then in a big casefolio. Love this bag.

I was looking for a good EDC bag for work and as a VOL Firefighter / EMT. Enough room for my EDC gear and a small IFAK. I can fit a iPad Pro 12 inch in the main compartment. New the bag is stiff and needs some breaking in time. All materials used are good and the bag is well built. All in all it is a great bag.

Great bag. Holds lots of gear. Its the normal progression from the Maxpedition Jumbo. Be aware, this bag will get heavy quick. Not a briefcase, not a backpack, not a fanny pack. I had it for a few weeks and Im having fun redistributing my EDC within the nice variety of pockets it has. I recommend it.

Large and in-charge, the mongo has a massive main compartment surrounded by plenty of slip & zippered pockets, Rear CCW storage, phone pouch, a large array of attachment points, and tons of loop field for patches & accessories. The mongo holds true to the ergonomic Versipack design, so you can load it up and it won"t drag you down. Equipped with a comfortable shoulder and waist strap and a rear padded Island that conforms to the body, This spacious everyday carry is a great work bag, camera bag, Diaper bag or short-excursion bag. If you love the jumbo Versipack but need more space, The mongo Versipack is just the bag for you.
