> 3 dayI bought these in order to make available about 2000 pictures for family members around the country. The 16GB capacity was overkill but they cost about the same as 4 or 8 GB sticks so I went with these. Considering that these are not going to be accessed on a regular basis, and probably not added to at all, the speed that you can write to them isnt critical for me. That said, I did do a little test to see how fast my 2019 iMac running nothing else could copy a 132MB file of about 150 jpegs to each of these sticks. The results were surprisingly varied, and all on the slow side. It took from 1 to over 3.5 minutes which translates to about 8-24 minutes per GB. If those speeds are consistent, it could take up to 4-5 hours just to transfer 10GB. Maybe large files-like video, would go faster, but I wouldnt really know. In summary, for archival storage of pics, you cant beat the price for the amount of storage, even if theyre slow, but they are slow.

> 3 dayMake no mistake, this is a very BAD off brand. I can deal with the painfully slow transfer rate for the price to give the drives away to friends with music and videos where I dont expect to get them back (uggghh they can go ahead and keep them) Do yourself a favor and look for a more well known brand. I bought 1 pack 5x64gb. after errors on 2 devices, I contacted Amazon and they gave me a full refund. I thought I would give them another chance and reordered the same 5 pack. More errors on 2 more so far and 2 that just wont read in any USB slot. (Since they let me keep the original 5 pack, it would have been cool to keep a couple extra devices, HA!! so far 5 have tested BAD, so much for a couple free devices!) I will request another refund if I dont get at least 5 working devices out of ten. This is unacceptable. If you value your data, dont trust these. I also bought (at the same time) 2 ten packs of 32gb (20 devices). So far 9 have tested ok with 11 more still to test.... but WHY? With the dreadfully painful slow read and write times, why even bother wasting time to test? Since taking up to 3 1/2 hours to test EACH device. Do your math, thats over 100 hours testing time on all 30 devices that I bought of this brand just to save a few dollars. Go with Sandisk or another well trusted brand. Still debating whether to just get full refunds for everything or cut my losses and just use them to giveaway, where I dont expect to get them back. Either way I learned a lesson, I wont ever buy an off brand SSD or USB stick device again.

> 3 dayI am sorry to say this but one of these is bad! We even tried to reformat it several times. Very disappointing as they are used for backups and it has caused some issues. :( UPDATE: Was contacted immediately by mosDART! I should have contacted them first before writing my review. I am truly sorry about this. They have offered several options to remedy this! I will tell you that I would most definitely buy from them again! Thank you so much. Kind regards.

15-11-2024Each of the mosDart memory sticks was uploaded with 2500 photos from folders saved to my desktop. The photos were of family members and extended from the 1880s to the present. The memory sticks were all loaded and given to relatives at our family reunion. Many relatives were surprised to see photos of themselves taken many years ago. Im so thankful that mosDart memory sticks were there to help me add more joy to our last family reunion.

16-11-2024I just got these in today. Was very excited to use them. But when I am plugged them in. I found out that the storage space wasnt What was displayed when I bought her. Even though clearly on the flash drive it says 64GB. But when plugged into my laptop it only showed 58GB for all 5 flash drives. Very disappointing to me. The way I see if I paid for something I should get what I paid for nothing less. I may be returning these.

Greater than one weekThese are small enough to easily carry in your pocket. The storage is large enough to store large files. The ONLY thing bad about these are instead of the 32GB drives as advertised, they are only are 29.2 GB (2.8GB smaller) which could be enough to store quite a few more files. I guess all thumb drives are this way. Oh well, I am happy with these and the price is good. I highly recommend them.

> 3 dayChinese thumb drives are hit or miss. These Mosdart 16GB drives are better than others Ive tested that look the same. Ive done a capacity test using FakeFlashTest and a full read write test using H2testw on two of the 5 and they both passed. I also ran a CrystalDiskMark speed test and read speeds came in around 24 MB/sec which is respectable for a USB 2 drive. Write speeds were around 11-12 MB/sec which is also respectable given the price. Running ChipGenius these are supposedly made by Alcor Micro but show up as Generic and the actual flash is supposedly MLC by Toshiba. The VID is 058F and the PID is 6387. Interestingly these have a red LED inside but only a few of the colors let the LED shine through. The LED blinks when youre accessing the drive and is on steady when its recognized by your operating system. Bottom line: I wouldnt trust any important data to these. And, if youre in a hurry, opt for name brand USB 3 drives for only a few dollars more per drive. The trick with the big brands (especially Sandisk) is avoiding fake counterfits from China. At least with these youre not paying for a name brand and getting a generic Chinese drive anyway.
