> 3 dayWorks as advertised. However, it is made of two separate globes one within the other, floating in a fluid. Doesnt take much light to get it moving as long as its directional. Also, It only looks like silver on black when the light when it is not coming from the rear, otherwise it looks purple and silver. I have had it for a month now and it hasnt broken, it has been shaken once but never dropped. On average it seems to rotate at about 1 revolution per 50 sec, but it would appear to be dependent on the amount of provided light. I would recommend this, if your looking for a tasteful globe that rotates on its own without batteries or wires. In fact the provided base is not necessary.

> 3 dayI love this item! I bought it for my new job and it was so intriguing to watch knowing that it was rotating based on the Earths magnetic field. It is a must buy!

> 3 dayWhen you likes to see the world rotating without electrical power, this globe for you. This globe needs the incandescent light. I have 120W light bulb, it provides the indirectly power to the globe and rotating really fast. Awesome, I am still trying to figure out the rotation. Cool toy for adult, specially over 50 yrs old...
