> 3 dayI’ll never buy another set of those aluminum-edged screen things from the grocery store utility aisle again. These things are the Lexus, the BMW, the Cadillac of strainers. They fit right: flat to the surface, nothing sneaking beneath the edge. They catch everything: food scraps, cat hair (yeah. It gets everywhere), fish bones. They lift out very easily, because the rim is sturdy and thick enough. One little smack against the trash bin, and they let go of whatever they’re holding. Stick them in the dishwasher and they come out sparkling clean and ready for another day. Iv

> 3 dayI have had those sink drain stopper type strainers for a long time. You know the ones that you can push down and it will stop the water from draining. Those never did work the best and they were hard to clean. When I bought these new ones, they dont stop the water from going out of the sink but they work great at catching food particles or anything else you dont want going down the drain, plus they let the water drain out very well. If you want something to stop up your sink, then dont buy these but if you want a strainer that will catch food particles and other debris and keep it from going down your drain, these are great.

> 3 dayThese look so much nicer than the screen/mesh type we previously used. They catch everything and are very easy to keep clean and shiny.

> 3 dayWe had a rubber piece that fit into the sink opening for the disposal and most of the time food got stuck in it or it got sucked into the disposal. This piece works well and now I can just catch the food and dump it in the trash instead of it going down the drain. I do have to take out my wire rack that I have in my stainless steel sink to get it out but thats not a real problem. I would recommend this.

> 3 dayMR.SIGA Kitchen Sink Strainer works great. The size fits perfectly in my standard residential kitchen sink. The straining holes are a great size. The strainer is well-made.

> 3 dayThese strainers are one of those small, seeming insignificant items that are much appreciated for the important job they do keeping a sink, drains and septic as clean and free of waste fragments as possible. I have a septic system so I try to be careful about food particles, debris from watering plants, etc. going down my kitchen drains. Ive been buying light weight, flimsy wire strainers. Thats all Ive ever been able to find locally and they get dirty and bent so require constant replacing. These old strainers were difficult to keep clean without brushing the wire mesh too free them of stuck particles. The plastic rims would often act as a plug and hinder water from freely draining. Very annoying. So far, I am impressed by these strainers, easy to clean and do not hinder the flow of water from the sink; however, I havent had them long enough to say how they will stand the test of time. At this point I would definitely buy again.
