We have leather interior. I like my leather interior. I do not want car seat base marks permanently worn into my leather seats. So we bought one of these for both of our cars. Dont regret it one bit. It has saved the seats so far! It is more durable than the other, basic cloth ones that you see. And it is super easy to clean because of the durable material.

We have an old 1998 3-series BMW, 4-door sedan with narrow, leather, bucket-ish type seats and a Chicco KeyFit30 car seat. The seat base would not stay put in the back seat no matter how it was positioned (side seats vs middle seat). It kept sliding back and forth, and the seat base was a bit wider than the curve of the seat, so it wouldnt stay centered either. I tried a few homegrown solutions, and they helped, but not enough. This protector was easy enough to install and even though it is a bit wider than the width of the seat, the seat base is able to be strapped in secured without sliding around. I wasnt sure it would be able to do that since the leather seats are narrow and sporty. The rubber straps really provide the seat base some traction and keep it steadfast. Couldnt be happier that our boy is now firmly secured. We will buy another one for our other vehicle that has the same problem.

Ive gone through several seat protectors and this is the best yet. The kick flap does a great job of protecting the front edge of the seat from my front-facing daughters shoes. The cutouts for the seat anchors make for a very easy carseat installation. The material holds water, and the ridge helps contain spills that leak through the carseat. Now for the reason that I didnt give 5 stars: My seats still have permanent carseat dents! The material is thick & pretty rigid, and the plastic supports do help with keeping the underside from making sharp dents in your seats... BUT the plastic supports end up doing as much damage as the underside of the carseat would have done! They arent flush with the bottom of the protector, and they have sharp edges. Really, these have been excellent. Until someone makes a seat protector with a properly rigid bottom, this is probably your best bet!

It does cover the LATCH hooks in the car by the littlest bit, we have 2 kids in a 4-door sedan so one behind each seat. I could get one side of the car seat hooked just fine, when I went to the other side to hook in the car seat I had a hell of a time getting the LATCHES to meet up and hook just right. The lip on the carseat cover that keeps spills in was raised just enough to screw up the alignment and make putting it in a veritable challenge. I eventually got it all in but if we had gone to a safety inspection place for installation Im sure they would tell us not to use the car seat cover. Overall, I like this product, it does what it says and it protects my car from LOs kicking dirty shoes and as time goes on I hope spills. We dont have a head rest for the top of the buckle to snap around, I just left it unfolded and kind of tucked the strap into the back of the chair, its the only way to keep the leather seats from getting trashed.

Love this product!! Weve had them a few months and they are great. I have two of them, one for a convertible car seat and one for a booster seat. Let me start with the one we got for the booster seat. I love that my son can get in and out without it slipping around. The blue strips on the protector grips to the actual vehicle seat and the booster seat. It has a raised edge around the bottom of the protector which has already contained a spill and saved my car! For using with an convertible car seat, no more trying to hold up the back of the protector while trying to buckle the seat in. This one is tall enough and attaches around the headrest of the car to hold it into place. Some other seat protectors weve used lets the car seat move around on it , no matter how tight you buckle them. Not with this one, once the seat is buckled it doesnt move, keeping my little one safe. I would highly recommend this product! Im sure in a few years when my kids are out of their seats our leather will still look great!

We have two others of the same brand, but they had the mesh storage pockets on the front of the seat-bottom. Performance-wise it keeps crumbs and minor soil ills relatively contained. This one is plain. Couldn’t find that version. This does exactly what it’s supposed to, and functions just as good as it’s predecessors. An item to note: the headrest strap is nice of you don’t remove the headrest (we have a fwd-facing convertible that otherwise interferes resulting in headrest removal) without the headrest keeping the back in the correct position requires feeding the tether strap through it. Wish they came in more colors too as we have beige-grey seats and the black is quite contrasting. Would recommend.

While it does the primary job I was looking for--protecting my leather seats from indentations--it is barely big enough to hold the car seats which are safety first brand convertible car seats. The base of the car seats are sitting on top of the ridge on the outside of the pads which means they will not be able to collect any crumbs that happen to fall down. I wasnt planning on allowing food in the car anyway but this seals the deal to not allow any. Our previous car had tons of crumbs fall around the car seats and I dont want that to happen with the new car. It is too bad it wasnt quite big enough for us for that purpose, but I do not regret the purchase at all. It was the best protector we could find that we wouldnt have to risk stains from the protector or not be heavy duty enough to prevent indentations.

We had a different car seat protector for our first child and its still in use, but this one is incredible; wish we had this one originally. Pros: - Very Sturdy. The back panel can take a serious beating from the kicks of a small child. - The edge of the seat is great for catching small bits of food or other items that fall. - All around it has sturdy construction. We have a Britax seat and it fits perfectly. - Ive had to move my car seat around and when Ive lifted it up there isnt any indentation. - Easy to install. - No Smell, my other one had a rubber type smell when I first opened it, and this one was completely odorless. Cons: - None I havent found anything wrong with this seat protector. Its amazing to take the car seat out and not have a huge impression of where it once was; Ive told everyone to go out and get this one for their car. The fact that it has the added back panel for when your little one is rear facing is great for muddy days, rain, snow or just when they want to kick.
