Greater than one weekAfter extensively researching seat protectors online, reading reviews, and looking at several of the supposed best choices, no other product could even begin to come close to this outstanding seat protector. The quality of the material, sturdiness, and practical, well thought out design are excellent. In reviews, comments are made about the four rubber pads on the lower section leaving marks on leather seats (although apparently temporary marks that fade away over a few weeks once the protector is removed). I simply put a triple-folded cotton terry cloth towel between my cars fabric seat and the bottom portion of this seat protector. The child booster seat is cinched tightly using the safety straps/latches, and all is good! The seat protector wipes up quickly with a damp microfiber cloth.

> 3 dayThis is a nice protector. Its pliable enough that it conforms to the seat for the baby seat can fit snugly, but sturdy enough that I dont think the baby seat will leave marks in my leather car seats. A lot of people are complaining about the straps not being big enough to go around the headrests. 2 things. First, if you are using this with a forward facing seat this is not a big deal whatsoever. The car seat will hold the back of the BRICA in place firmly. There is no need to strap it in behind the headrest. Second, if you really need the straps and need to lengthen them you can easily find clips that will fit the BRICA ones and an extension strap in any outdoor/hiking store. They are a standard size clip. UPDATE AFTER MONTHS OF USE After a few months of regular use this is holding up very well. The BRICA still looks brand new. My car is well protected from the seat. I continue to be very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it to others. I recently took the car seat out to clean it and the Brica looks brand new. The leather seats in my car show no signs of indentations, stains, crumbs, or anything else. This product has proved to be well worth every penny and is highly recommended.

> 3 dayI have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with leather seats. My wife and I just had our first baby. When I installed the car seat initially without the BRICA Seat Guardian it smashed my leather so hard, it dented the foam (hopefully not permanent). The car seat book tells you that the car seat should not move more than an inch...to get a car seat that tight using the LATCH system (with the anchor points), is a nightmare, and will 100% ruin your leather seats, not to mention it is almost impossible to remove the base afterwards. So i tried a folded towel for a week, which didnt help at all. Original Review Jan-18, 2016: Ive had this Seat Guardian installed since January 5th, and havent had any problems with it at all. My leather is finally starting to get its shape back. With the Seat guardian, due to the rubber pads and added thickness, the base doesnt slide at all anymore and its not nearly as death cripplingly tight. I trust that in the event of an accident that this will not have an adverse effect on the safety of my child. One complaint, in my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, I do not have a middle head rest, so i need some other way of securing the the top loop to my seat. Fortunately the car seat holds it up for now, but I think after it gets warm it might start to droop down some.

> 3 dayWe have an old 1998 3-series BMW, 4-door sedan with narrow, leather, bucket-ish type seats and a Chicco KeyFit30 car seat. The seat base would not stay put in the back seat no matter how it was positioned (side seats vs middle seat). It kept sliding back and forth, and the seat base was a bit wider than the curve of the seat, so it wouldnt stay centered either. I tried a few homegrown solutions, and they helped, but not enough. This protector was easy enough to install and even though it is a bit wider than the width of the seat, the seat base is able to be strapped in secured without sliding around. I wasnt sure it would be able to do that since the leather seats are narrow and sporty. The rubber straps really provide the seat base some traction and keep it steadfast. Couldnt be happier that our boy is now firmly secured. We will buy another one for our other vehicle that has the same problem.

> 3 dayToday Philthy Reviews.... Saving your seats from their seats..... Add to Cart: Yes. If you have kids then you have all the accessories that come with them and whatever age they happen to be. Universally a car seat is one of them unless you put them in the trunk at which point you should be arrested. But most of us law abiding citizens use car seats. However if you have leather seats the car seat plus your childs weight will make quite the impression...on your car seat. While this protector does a good job preventing that, it leaves its own footprint. If you read other reviews, youll see that is a main sticking point. While Im sure the leather will eventually snap back, it is rather disconcerting. I will use a towel between the the rubber pads and the seat to prevent any possible seat damage. Outside of that caveat, I do recommend this protector. It sports a harder material than other seat protectors to protect the underlying seat. I had a retaining wall to capture crumbs, spills, and other debris from the messy tornado that is our kids. Easy to install and clean, this is a great addition to an arsenal against kids and their collateral damage.

Greater than one weekI bought this after buying a different brand seat protector and I have to say that this is a very high quality product. The base has rubber grippers that help to hold it in place and it also has a little lip around the outside that holds a car seat or booster seat in place. The seat part is made of a semi rigid material so it stays in place and protects. The other seat protector i tried is not rigid and so sometimes it slips around under the car seat. I had read reviews that said the rubber grippers leave a mark on seats but this has not happened to me and I have had the protector in use for about 6 months. I have leather seats and will update this review if I notice any issues or damge.
