MyInvoices & Estimates Deluxe

I have used MyInvoices and Estimates for over 10 years. Much earlier versions were simple and easy to work (why I continued to upgrade). This newest version 10 deluxe (which I use) is a disaster in waiting. The program, once installed and if working properly, is great and appears to be doing what it was intended. However, as time progresses and your database fills, problems will inevitably develop hidden without your knowledge waiting for that time you need to run a report for the boss or extract specific data. Then, out of nowhere comes the dreaded unhandled exception has occurred . Good luck trying to fix the issue. The program is so complex, because it does so much, that trying to fix a problem is virtually impossible. So now you have thousands of records in your database, this database somehow gets corrupted. HOW? Avanquest did not write in any diagnostics to aid or assist if anything is amiss or even let you know with a warning when backing up that something might be wrong with the file. They have not upgraded or offered any patch for the past 2 years I have owned this deluxe version. I would not recommend this program.

If it hadnt been for the bad reviews, I would have tried this program a long time ago...I have been using an inexpensive, minimalist & somewhat glitchy invoice program for the last twenty years, and with the end of Windows 7 came my end of that software. So the trial and error began. I read review after review, on Amazon and online. I tried Quickbooks Online...they froze my account all while still charging the subscription fee...if you sign up with your mobile then you cant access certain account changes on your computer...youll also be charged more monthly just to have a field for purchase order numbers? Really?? Then I tried the free NCH Suite offered by Amazon..its only free for what, two weeks, then it wont print (that was a waste of time). It seems that every invoice company is just trying to lock customers into the lifetime monthly fee. I do my expense reports on an Excel Spreadsheet I bought several years ago, and I like to write out my checks. All I needed was a program to make invoices (with customizable fields) and lists of those on a monthly or annual basis...just something basic. Upon opening this program up, it appeared that Id be stuck with using the brightly colored templates, but after going into customize and clicking on the box fields; then the color tabs above, I changed the background to white and the field heads to a light blue color, thus low ink use. The font sizes can also be changed. I like how the list of invoices is on the left hand side and always visible. This program also allows for emailing and creating PDFs. If you need something basic that doesnt overly connect all your accounts...this is well worth a try! Sincerely

Can not install on my Windows 10 system. After several attempts the download codes do not work. What is ore confusing is there are multiple codes to enter and it is not clear which code is correct. Also there is no phone support without paying $9.99 and up. Returned for a refund USELESS Software.

I recently started a small business, sole proprietor, and a friend who does the same thing recommended this program. I still have not been able to generate an invoice with it now a month later. I simply cannot figure this out. In my defense, I am a very computer literate person, but not so much the Word, Excel type programs, so I feel sure that if I had more knowledge of those types of programs, I might be able to figure this out. But Im not willing to sit down and read the thick manual and slog through the process. I depend on myself being able to intuitively do this stuff, and this program is not intuitive. So I may end up not using it, sadly. And if it truly does what it purports to do, it should be a great tool. Oh, well. Such is life.

This product worked well for a little while, but stopped after the version 10 was released. Now it does not work at all. All my invoices are lost until they release a fix or I find a back door into the software.

Works if want to use the product template. Does not modify for my use.

Not an easy program to follow, older version was much easer to use, have worked with it several days and still no luck making new invoice.
