11-06-2025Used this on a few of my devices, including my 2012 MacBook Pro 13” (non-retina). Turns out the factory paste wasn’t that bad yet, but cleaned and applied this anyway. The thermals were not as much of an improvement as I had expected, about the same as the factory paste that was on it, but for a machine that has REALLY old thermal paste, this would definitely cover you. I plan on doing this to my Xbox 360 Elite, and seeing how well it does.

09-06-2025This is the good old arctic silver. Love it. Applied to my laptop cpu and gpu. Works wonderfully, both stay cool. Enough let over to do my old desktop gpu. Maybe even cpu. Little plastic shovel really helps the application process

> 3 dayI have used numerous different thermal pastes over the past 20 or so years, but none of them have been superior to Arctic Silver 5 in terms of heat reduction, spread-ability, and longevity. The included spreader works well for those who use that method of application.

Greater than one weekI have a 2007 HP DV7 i5 laptop that was shutting down almost daily due to overheating and the fan was in “high gear” most of the time. After cleaning the previous paste from the CPU’s and applying Arctic Silver 5, all is cool and quiet. Laptop has been running for two weeks with zero issues. Great product!
