Greater than one weekThe best hair brush around. I actually prefer this one over my boar bristle one (same brand) because it penetrates deeper and touches my scalp so I can really brush all my hair. I have thick wavy hair but it works on my bf’s curly hair very well too. Great for thick hair. I brush my hair out before washing it in the shower. I love the butterfly motif as well!

> 3 daySo you know when the roots of your hair get oily, and the ends are dry, and you need to wash your hair? That’s especially when you need this brush. It brings the oil from the roots down to the ends! I may not have to wash my hair so often. Don’t know yet. So far, I absolutely LOVE this hair brush . A friend told me about it. I’ve only had it for 2 days and I already see and feel a difference. It’s a tad more expensive than other brushes, but so worth it. It changes your hair from dirty roots to shiny to the ends. It feels different to brush. Again, my 20ish year old friend told me about it.

> 3 dayI’ve only recently acquired the brush, so we’ll see how sturdy it is and wether or not it holds up. So far though, I am very happy with it. It does not add static to my curly hair, doesn’t pull on tangles, and fits in my hand comfortably. The design is also beautiful.

> 3 dayThis is a wonderful brush, lightweight but sturdy bristles. I bought this to replace a wooden brush that I have had over 30 years. I was hoping to find something of equal quality and I did!

11-06-2025Originally had an oval brush by Tek which I bought for 35 dollars. Lost it during a trip and did not feel it was worth paying such a high price tag again. Decided I needed to look for a less expensive option. I bought the desert breeze brush 3 months ago for $24. I was happy to find that it does just as well as a Tek brush. The pins are smooth and give easily to prevent tugging on the hair, which was my main concern when buying this brush. Unlike the Tek brush this brush has a creme colored cushion which I actually ended up really liking because it stays looking cleaner than the Tek brush. With the Tek brush the black cushion accentuated every little piece of lint and dead skin cells on the brush. (This doesnt mean you shouldnt cleanse your brush often, keep your brush clean to prevent from distributing all the build up in your brush back into your hair) The attention to detail on the handle of the brush I received regarding consistent wood tones, smooth wooden finish, and engraving is not the best (and is my only reason for giving it 4 star) However, I was dissapointed to see that the price is going up as price was a big selling point for me. If the price is going up then I would expect the attention to detail to be improving as well. **Update** I used this brush for 2 years, it was my go to brush. I made the mistake of leaving the brush in the car for a whole 12 hours in Texas heat. Shortly after the cushion started to break down and crack.

> 3 dayI couldn’t believe I was spending this much money on a hairbrush, but I’ve always wanted a good wooden hairbrush. Well, this brush has more than surpassed my expectations. I love it! My hair and head love it, too. Well worth the indulgence.

> 3 dayWanted a non-animal version of brush to stop using plastic bristles. This brush is great for thin and thick long hair. So much less hair breakage.

> 3 dayBeautiful hair brush. Well made and crafted nicely. Lighter weight than I expected but that is even better because I owned heavier wood brush and it can get tiring to use. The pins are not scratchy on the scalp and they are long enough to run through long hair without feeling the brush body pressing against your scalp, only the pins that smooth through the hair. Package is pretty and well pack. Can use as a nice gift. Have not used it long enough to need cleaning so I am not sure how it will hold up after wash. Worth the purchase and I am sure it will remain beautiful for a long time to come. Happy with the item

> 3 dayThis is my third wooden brush (I also have two Mason Pearson boar bristle brushes). This one is now my favorite and go-to hairbrush. Its simple yet beautiful with the embossed butterfly. In comparison to my other wooden brushes, this one is the smoothest. It glides through my long fine hair without snagging or getting hair strands caught by the base of bristles, which can be painful and causes hair breakage. Its also lightweight, unlike one of my other wooden brushes that feels significantly hefty. The hole towards the bottom of the base is not a missing pin, its there for a few reasons: 1) to allow the air to pump out so the brush conforms to the shape of the scalp, and 2) when the brush is in need of washing, any water that might get between the pin base and the wooden part has a way of escaping and evaporating during drying time. Another plus, unlike my boar bristle & nylon MP brushes, there is no static after brushing! I will be recommending this hairbrush to my family and friends. It will make a good present for anyone with various hair types and lengths.
