Overall this is a lovely controller, the grip is great, it’s light weight but not too light, and joy sticks are smooth. The only thing that kind of bother me is that mine came with a misprint of the “A” button not being emeral green like the rest. Kind of make it seem like Pyra core when part of it is on Rex. Other than that, no compliant here.

Feels very comfortable and satisfying but to be honest I dont see what technical advantages this has over the regular pro controller. It is more of a collection achievement for xenoblade fans. It is worth buying for this reason.

Im not bashing the controller, trust me. But lets be honest here. Is it more comfortable than the Joy-Cons? Yes. Is it more comfortable than the Joy-Con handle that you get with the Switch? Yes. Does it improve playability? Yes. Is the HD Rumble better? Yes. Is it a quality build? Yes. But its still not worth the asking. $49.99 AT THE MOST, truly. What Nintendo or whoever really needs to do is release a Pro Controller that doesnt have the amiibo scanner. That would probably drop $10-15 off the price alone. AS is youre stuck with it - reminds me of the PSP and their Memory Stick Pro Duo when nobody else was using it, resulting in way too much money spent just to game properly - and the price is just too darn high for it. I just happened to get a Warehouse Deals that was like new and it did indeed look unused, plastic still on and all, for under 60. To me thats what people should look for. This $75-$180 is ridiculous for a controller.

The rumors that the D-pad was improved for the Xenoblade model appear to be true. I get far fewer unintended button presses on perpendicular axes with this unit than I do with my original dark gray unit. In my opinion, this is the best Switch controller currently available from a functional standpoint. The cosmetic design is quite good and matches the aesthetic of the game well, without being crass or visually busy. The controller also appears with red handles in the console controller menu, making it easy to distinguish at a glance.

The controller fits smoothly in your hands, and the big, tactile buttons make gameplay a smooth experience. It is also beautifully designed and aesthetically pleasing, a must for collectors and fans of Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
