> 24 hourI dont usually use these types of filters. I prefer to go without them. Ill be traveling soon, and the environment that I will be in will expose my lenses to the elements a bit more than usual. To ensure that best weather sealing and to protect my front element, I got this (the 82mm version).

> 24 hourWow! just Wow! Ive never seen a filter so clear, I was totally convinced there was no glass in it until I tilted it to reflect the light, It is much smaller than my 55mm lens so I did need to use a step down adapter but the filter works great, completely undetectable. I did struggle to get it off adapter the threading is a little tight.

> 24 hourI got this for a 1960s Minolta Hi-Matic 7s, and it fits perfectly. This is a well made filter - I actually had a few seconds when I first opened the packaging where I honestly couldnt see the glass, and thought I had been shipped a plain filter ring! I mainly use these to protect the lenses on rangefinders, so cant speak to how well it filters UV light, but am impressed with the quality of what I got. Recommended.

> 24 hourI ordered this as a backup UV filter and didnt expect too much. I purchased a brand name filter not too long ago and paid several times what this one is priced at. Whats impressive is how close this lens to my name brand lens in terms of quality. You can tell that the name brand lens is more substantial and probably offers more protection. As far as picture quality, I cant tell the difference. Im sure the more expensive filter has higher quality glass with a gazillion layers of coating and could withstand falling into a volcano but this is seriously a decent filter at the price point. One of the other reviewers mentioned the grippy edge which makes for easy removal and I concur that this is an excellent feature. Highly recommended!
