> 3 dayAuf die Funktion eines UV-Filter, will ich an der Stelle gar nicht erst eingehen, weil der Verwendungszweck eher speziell ist und in der Digitalen Fotografie auch nicht mehr benötigt wird, aber da die meisten, dies UV-Filter, auf Grund des günstigen Preis, meistens als Schutzfilter für ihre Objektive verwenden, erfreuen sich solche Filter einer ungebrochenen Beliebtheit.

Greater than one weekUV filters are one of those contentious items to buy for your lens. After really thinking about it, purchasing a decent UV filter to protect my $1500 lens to protect the element is definitely worth the investment. Ive gone with and without a filter during my time as a prosumer photographer, and if youre processing your photos, I feel you can make up for the slight softness a UV filter may give, even if its psychological. But at the end of the day, I definitely want to protect my lens from any scratches, so its worthwhile.

> 3 dayI needed a 52mm protective filter for a lens that I had acquired. I always like to have a protective filter fitted and whether its a clear glass one or a UV really doesnt matter. I saw this NiSi filter and although I hadnt come across the make before I decided to give them a try.

Greater than one weekI’m an amateur photographer who only takes pictures at family events and trips. I got this filter to protect my Tamron lens I use with my Sony 7AIV. The filter fits perfectly and is easy to screw, thanks to the material it’s built with. I cannot see any difference in the pictures after installing this lens. I cannot comment on the technical features of the lens, but this is a nicely built budget filter that would at least protect your lenses.

Greater than one weekThis is a much nicer UV filter than the one Ive been using from the starter kit I had. The fit and finish is well done. It threads easily into my Canon 24mm lens with no binding, and the deep knurling on the rim makes it easy to remove. If you are just starting out and want a UV filter, skip the ones in the cheap starter kits and get this one instead. Overall, this is a great quality filter at a budget price.

> 3 dayI have always been a Hoya filter user. After getting this NiSi UV filter I just may be jumping ship. This seems to be a very high quality filter. Super thin; thinner than my other UV filters. The machining on the aluminum rim is top notch. I put this on my Canon EF 17-40mm USM lens and it fit great. There is no vignetting even at 17mm. This filter is guaranteed to provide no vignetting on wide angle lens down to 14mm. The glass looks to be very high quality. Obviously I can not attest to the hardness of the glass. Hopefully I never get to verify the protection quality of this filter. Lets just assume it will do the job a UV filter is supposed to do; protect the lens glass. Next I will need to try one of the NiSi polarizer filters. If you are in the market for a new UV filter this one should be at the top of your list. Oh and it even comes with a cleaning cloth.

> 3 dayThis filter is good enough that it does not add any color or cast to your photos that I can tell. However it does have a little bit more glare than some of the more expensive filters if you are in a direct sunlight type of environment. The difference is minimal and I don’t usually shoot into the sun, so that doesn’t bother me. Particularly because this filter has a feature that none of my other filters do.
