I dont usually use these types of filters. I prefer to go without them. Ill be traveling soon, and the environment that I will be in will expose my lenses to the elements a bit more than usual. To ensure that best weather sealing and to protect my front element, I got this (the 82mm version).

It came in a hard plastic case that is filled with a half inch thick foam pad. Very well protected without any shipping damage. Low profile design with front threads for “push-on” lens caps. Perfect fit for Nikon DX center pinch (52mm) lens cap.

This filter is good enough that it does not add any color or cast to your photos that I can tell. However it does have a little bit more glare than some of the more expensive filters if you are in a direct sunlight type of environment. The difference is minimal and I don’t usually shoot into the sun, so that doesn’t bother me. Particularly because this filter has a feature that none of my other filters do.

With most lenses a general UV filter isnt needed, but I still like to use them to help protect the outer layers of the lens. This NiSi 62mm UHC UV Protection Filter is a perfect fit on my Pentax DA 18-135 WR. Ive used it for a few shots and I dont see any issues with color or distortion. So far Im liking this filter. The threads seem well made and there isnt a problem getting it on or off, yet when tightened it doesnt creep off either. A good value and well made product.

It is hard to find filters for smaller lens sizes. I use this 46mm on my Nikon Z 16-50mm and it fits perfectly.

I bought it for may Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 and work perfectly. High quality.

Seems to be a good filter. I dont see any degradation of the image with this filter at all. So, it is doing what it is meant to do, and it is not harming the images.... I call that a win for a filter. I would recommend this to my friends. The price is very good as well.

This works great with my camera I recently used it for a photoshoot and the photos turned out perfectly I compared it without the filter and it made a huge difference in the little details on the peoples shirts, you could see so much more detail in direct sun with this filter. Perfect fit and easy to put on and take off.

While even perfectly clear filters will lower the light your lens gets by a small fraction of an exposure stop, its not enough that you shouldnt protect your lenses with something like a UV filter.
