Noctua NF-A4x10 5V, Premium Quiet Fan, 3-Pin, 5V Version (40x10mm, Brown)

Much quieter than the stock fan that came with my Odroid xu3 Lite.

I used this fan to replace a ARX Cera Dyna FD0540-A3212A fan in my ADT DVR. The Cera Dyna was way louder. It eventually started to wobble and then it totally failed. The Noctua was a direct fit and super easy to install. Everything I needed was included in the kit. The only tools I needed were a pair of pliers and a Phillips screw driver. If I could rate this thing 10 stars, then I would. Im super happy.

These are SO quiet I cant tell they are on even when sitting in my lap and powered up. Im using these for a cooling in a helmet and I tried a cheaper type fan but as soon as it was glued it the bearings started grinding and got too loud. These 5v fans will work amazing with a usb power connection in the helmet. Im currently testing the battery life before I put them in the costume. With 2 of them plugged in and sitting right next to me at the desk I cant hear them 1 foot away.

If youre buying this for an ASUS Sabertooth Z170 S VREG assist fan, you may have to peel off a couple of the rubber shock absorbers just to fit properly. They just peel off like a sticker, so its no big deal.

Very Quiet, great fan

I replaced the stock fan in an Amcrest video surveillance recorder with this fan and it knocked down the noise substantially. It can be heard but it is considerably quieter than the stock fan.

Using these on raspberry pi’s and the included wire connectors let me connect it up with Pi’s gpio pretty easily. Very handy to have when using poe hats that don’t have their own cooling, there’s enough airflow to keep everything cool. Will keep buying !

Used this to replace a Loren DVR fan that I swear was taken from an F-16 turbine engine. Unit never overheats and cannot even badly tell it is running. 1000 times better. Used the little rubber mounts to push into the fins made it an easy install. Great fan fix for Loren DVR.
