> 3 dayI used one of these to replace the noisy fan in my Q-See DVR that I bought at Costco. This one is much quieter but not totally silent. Id say it is probably about half as loud as the original, so it is well worth it. Comes with every imaginable connector to adapt to whatever you have, which is nice. On a Q-See DVR, you will not need any of those adapters.

> 3 dayThe first impression is always the most important one: the packaging is just excellent and contains a lot of information, very well designed and not a cheap chinglsih design or text. The fan is designed in Austria and manufactured in Taiwan. It comes with a 6 year manufacture warranty.

> 3 dayThe fan is quieter than a typical cheap fan you can find online. However, it doesnt seem to be as quiet as I would expect for a fan from Noctua especially at this price point. However, this being a 5V fan, it does work quite nicely off USB power (adapter required).

> 3 dayI bought this fan to replace the stick fan in my home security DVR. The stock fan in the DVR started sounding like a chainsaw after 2 weeks. This fan was an easy replacement just had to use the screw from the old fan and very small washers. Cant even hear the fan running and the case of the DVR is always cool.

5V version
Many devices such as network or storage solutions use 5 volt 40mm fans. With the same operating voltage and the included OmniJoin adaptor set that makes it compatible with proprietary fan headers, the NF-A4x10 5V is ideal for replacing noisy or broken 5V 40mm fans.
Please Note: Being a 5V fan, the NF-A4x10 5V cannot be run at 12V and will be damaged when used with typical 12V power sources such as PC motherboard fan headers.
