Greater than one weekThey guys do it right from the packaging to the adapters to the rubber mounting system. Its very well thought out. I used it to quiet down my Amcrest NVR, which sounding like a drone. A slight mode on the hole size on one bracket was all that was needed. Id say it dropped 20db.

> 3 dayNow that this has been in use for a while I can say it makes no noise at all even though it blows quite a bit. In some applications the vibration reduction little rubber bits would have to be removed. In my application I had to cut the wire and attach it to a different connector because there wasnt enough room. Theres no way to get to the board directly to solder it but this appears to be part of the design to keep dust out.

> 3 dayI was very impressed with the packaging, quality and all the multiple adapters that came with this unit for the price...however, with all these added components (and I love the low noise adapter idea/adapter) the black 3 pin connector it comes with is too large for the boards female white connection in my DS411+. So...I had to clip the existing white 3 pin connector from my old fan and the new black 3 pin one from the new fan and join them manually to make this work. Not a deal-breaker and worked nicely, but took more time, unreturnable damage and work...hence the 4 star review. I wanted to also note that I did not receive any CPU fan alerts from my server as someone else noted...he said he just disabled the alert...which is not a good idea lol. Otherwise...this unit is stellar! I added a photo of the 3 pin and two pin it comes with...the 3 pin in my server is about the size of their 2 pin for reference

18-04-2025I have got to say, these Noctua fans are amazing. I put 3 of them in a security System DVR that I have. The security system is a Lorex, and the factory fans are incredibly loud, and dont last. I kept having to send the DVRs back to Lorex for replacement, do to the cooling fans going out. Iam on my 4 th. DVR replacement. I finally got tired of sending them back, just for cooling fan problems. So, I took matters into my own hands. I researched cooling fans, and found the Noctua. Yes they are a little pricey, I think I gave around $50.00 on Amazon.com, for three. It was the best $50.00, I have spent. These fans are so quiet, compared to those crazy cheapies Lorex uses....If you are having cooling fan issues in your electronic devices, give Noctua a try, you will be amazed.
