> 3 dayI purchased this 40mm Noctua fan as an upgrade to replace a 35mm fan included with my Asus Z77 Sabertooth motherboard. The board comes with an alternate plastic attachment which allows users to install a 40mm behind the rear I/0.

> 3 dayI bought two of these as you can see on the picture. One to cool the print and one for the heatsink on the hotend. You will need a 30mm -> 40mm adapter to install it on a e3d v6 clone but you can easily find one on thingiverse to print yourself. I had problem with the low noise adapter as it seemed to not cool the heatsink enough and I was getting heatcreep with PLA over 205C. Removed the adapter and now the problem is gone. The fan are still dead silent so im very happy with my purchase.

This won’t be one of those reviews with decibel levels because frankly I don’t have something to measure them with but I can tell you it’s remarkably more quiet and the temperature lower in the cabinet. A fun do it yourself m OK so the first one was it easy to install mostly because I don’t like reading directions, however the next four that I installed went as fast as could be and drop the noise level from other fans that I was using considerably. Reduced motor hub size
