> 3 dayThis is the first Noctua fan that Ive been disappointed with. The quality is great, the air throughput that you can get is fantastic, but it has this horrible noise that makes it unbearable to listen to when its 4 feet from your ear. This was in an NR200 ITX case and used as a rear intake, so perhaps having it in a case that small changed the noise profile...but you wouldnt be buying a fan of this size if you werent going to put it in a small case, regardless.

> 3 dayThis fan saved me from destroying my ASUS pre-built system. The 92mm exhaust fan was loud, this fan makes my wife happy when we both work from home. Virtually silent, even during normal/high load.

15-11-2024Noctua is great I guess because everyone says so. Im running UNRAID and although I need to upgrade to something better, Im trying to keep this one going a little longer. Dropped $50 on two of these slim ones to fit between the plastic front panel of my Dell T30 and the case metal, and it fit! So points for being nice and slim. I plugged them direct to power (through a sata adapter/splitter) and holy crap they are super unbearably loud! Others have said the same thing....I should have listened. I probably should have realized that I needed a fan speed controller, but I didnt and now just a bit salty that Im sending another $25 to Noctua for their PWM controller. Im $75 into this, which is about $30 more than I had hoped to spend on extra cooling. On the plus side, my 4 10TB drives (2 in each upper and lower drive bays) are running cool as a cucumber around 35C after 9 hours into a preclear, so thats a big improvement from the 45-50C+ temperature warnings I kept getting. Hopefully when I slow down those fans to a reasonable noise level Il still have reasonably good temperatures...well see! If Im not happy Ill edit this post.

> 3 dayI didnt always pay -that- much attention to what fans I used. Most of the time, Id rescue them out of retired builds and cases, and recycle them into new systems as a sort of tribute to the predecessor. When I set out to build my Skyreach PC, which was my console-killer wet dream, I knew each part going in needed to be the best possible in its class. I initially bought the NH-L9i in Chromax Black and was so impressed by it, I decided to go full Noctua in this system. I replaced the GPU fans (noisy, kinda whiny and frankly too tall to fit) with these fans, and its been great.

> 3 dayNoctua’s PC fans are a technical wonder! Dead silent....when RPM levels are configured in BIOS...& there’s no equal in terms of comparable quality. I used the 92mm as an intake fan on my Lian Li 07SX case (mod install on case front).

> 3 dayWorking with a 3080 FE in an NR 200 build, originally had 2 regular-sized fans for my GPU but eventually found out my mistake. Threw two of these Noctua slim fans under my GPU and peak temps went down by about 8-9 degrees, in some cases 10.

> 3 dayI paired this with the cryorig C7 copper and put the fan label-down and my temps dropped 12C. It never goes above 85C now when gaming. Its also much quieter than the C7 fan.

> 3 dayQuality, performance and quiet. The looks of the Chroma line are a bonus.

Greater than one weekI recently bought an HP Omen desktop that had a 92mm rear fan. I wanted a higher grade fan then stock to help with heat dispersion. I bought this one and found it is working great. I will plan to add another one in the future to the bottom of the case to help pull in some air. The fan is nice and quiet and I expect it will last for quite some time. I wanted an RGB or red led fan, but trying to find them in this size proved impossible.

> 3 dayNeeded a replacement fan for my low profile L9A after noticing the original fan was damage due to my handling of it (sound of slight grinding). This was a perfect replacement fan and ran quiet that I remember.
