08-06-2025Replaced the factory fan on the power supply for my 3D printer. There was an immediate improvement in the sound levels. My modification to the printer also included replacing the factory cover on the power supply with one I printed allowing for significant increase in airflow. The power supply was moved from the printer cabinet so it was critical to reduce the overall noise the printer made.

> 3 dayBought this to replace my brown Noctua nhl9a low profile cooler. I swapped PC cases from a non visible PC components nod 202 to an nzxt h210i. I wanted to stick with the red and black theme of my mother board so I went with the black and red. Works fine so far only ran idle test so far so good also quite and easy to remove 4 screws remove brown fan and place black fan on with your choice of color edges and 4 screws.

> 3 dayThis is a noctua fan. Cant get better than noctua. I dont like two things that they continue to do in their chromax black line of fans. The chromax line is for better aesthetics, yet they continue to have some kind of code number printed in white on one side of the fan frame, which makes it look ugly. These fans immediately terminate onto a 4pin female connector instead of including a decent length cable that terminates onto a 4 pin male connector like almost all other fans in existence do and all other noctua fans do. This makes cable management more annoying, as with the included extensions youll end up having a much longer cable than their standard fans and youll also have to cable manager a bulky connector right next to the fan whereas with the brown fans, if you needed an extension, itd be far enough away that itd mostly be out of sight and easier to cable manager. Tragically, noctua does make versions of the chromax black fans that have this last issue resolved, but they only come with the chromax coolers. So, if you dont want the bulky female fan connector edition of these fans, youre only option is to buy a chromax cooler that has the fan you want and then resell the cooler without the fan or something and keep the fan for yourself.

> 3 dayI recently bought an HP Omen desktop that had a 92mm rear fan. I wanted a higher grade fan then stock to help with heat dispersion. I bought this one and found it is working great. I will plan to add another one in the future to the bottom of the case to help pull in some air. The fan is nice and quiet and I expect it will last for quite some time. I wanted an RGB or red led fan, but trying to find them in this size proved impossible.

> 3 dayI used 2x of these 92mm slim fans to save an MSI 5700 xt mech which has the most absolute Junk fans on the planet.

> 3 dayThis is the first Noctua fan that Ive been disappointed with. The quality is great, the air throughput that you can get is fantastic, but it has this horrible noise that makes it unbearable to listen to when its 4 feet from your ear. This was in an NR200 ITX case and used as a rear intake, so perhaps having it in a case that small changed the noise profile...but you wouldnt be buying a fan of this size if you werent going to put it in a small case, regardless.

04-06-2025Drove me nuts, I uninstalled it within an hour. I would rather let my CPU throttle than listen to this obnoxious fan. Its two times louder than the 6 other Noctua fans in my system combined. Contact me if you want a lightly used one of these for free, otherwise Im going to throw it in the trash.
