> 3 dayOkay, everyone knows Noctuas are ugly, but the performance is great. The little brown rubber pieces do come off if you do not need them; so it looks like a typical all black fan.

Greater than one weekIt’s a high quality quiet fan that I use in push/pull for water cooling and I’ll probably by more in the future. No regerts at all.

> 3 dayI bought 2 of these to change the aging fans on my NH-D14. I love the performance Ive got from them, and the relatively silent operation. I am currently using them as case intakes, and they are great. I will probably be using them as replacement of the NF-A15s that came with the NH-D15, since I am getting the feeling that both fans will make a better job once their roles are swapped. I will be getting more of this fans soon. The only downside (in my opinion) is that Noctua decided not to include any accessories with the iPPC fans. Oh well...

> 3 dayI noticed right away how well built this fan is. It is powerful, solid, and efficient. It moves a lot of air, even at very low RPM. Unfortunately, I ended up returning it. But why am I still giving it 5 stars? Because they dont advertise this fan as a quiet fan! The noise was my only complaint. It is quite noisy, even at about 700-1000 RPM you can hear it if there is no ambient noise, and you dont have headphones on. I am super picky with noise levels and made a mistake buying this fan instead of the premium quiet noctua fans. Noise level is largely subjective, so your experience may easily differ from mine, but keep in mind that this fan is designed to move a ton of air, and its not silent when doing that. However, it is really quiet at low RPM of 300-500, but if you push it that far down it might turn on and off because thats near its voltage lower-end limit.

> 3 dayI had to replace the cooling fan in my 5-6 year old WD XL4100 MyCloud NAS and this is the closest cross I could find. The original fan is no longer available. The replacement was easy and the NAS booted up and functioned properly. This Noctua It has slightly less power than the original Sunon fan but the difference was so minor I am not worried about it. Noctua does make a 3000RPM fan but I didnt know if the circuits in the NAS could handle tripple the current draw not to mention it would take 6 days to ship the 3K RPM model and I needed the NAS back online ASAP. From all reviews I have read everywhere these hold up and perform quite well so I doubt I will need to update this review with any bad news.

> 3 dayat 300rpms its as loud and my corsairs going a full speed. still worth it, i have 4 of them on my corsair commander pro and they idle at 400rpms. they move so much air that when gaming under heavy load they only speed up for a minute before the system is cool enough they drop back to idle speeds.
