> 3 dayIf these things spin at over about 950 rpm, which they will, they make a loud whining noise. There’s nothing to indicate on the store page that these are server fans, and are not just a reasonably colored version of noctua’s other fan at the same price point besides a one letter difference in model name. They’ll work if volume isn’t an issue, but be aware that these are not quiet fans.

> 3 dayThis thing is a beast. Pretty loud at 2000 RPM but is quiet at 1200. It works good in my gaming PC as my main heat exhaust.

> 3 dayMy rig is about 10 years old - still working well but the fans on the CPU Cooler and a case fan were acting up. Replaced them each with one of these and I was surprised at how much noise the old fans were making. About all I can hear now is the airflow - these are a bit more expensive than some, but quality is worth the money.

> 3 dayI originally bought this fan because I wanted a Noctua Chromax but they were out of stock at the time but this fan is even better. I dont understand how a 2000 rpm fan can be so quiet. Not only can it move the most air in my system by a large margin it also is much quieter than the 1500 rpm Cooler Master fans. It even looks pretty good as you can fit Chromax corners on it. If you want a fan that will last forever be silent and preform well then this one is for you!

17-04-2025Purchased Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-2000 for custom gaming system. The NF-F12 is made with high-quality materials, super quiet, yet extremely efficient when it comes to cooling. As with all Noctua products, I highly recommend the NF-F12!

> 3 dayI had to replace the cooling fan in my 5-6 year old WD XL4100 MyCloud NAS and this is the closest cross I could find. The original fan is no longer available. The replacement was easy and the NAS booted up and functioned properly. This Noctua It has slightly less power than the original Sunon fan but the difference was so minor I am not worried about it. Noctua does make a 3000RPM fan but I didnt know if the circuits in the NAS could handle tripple the current draw not to mention it would take 6 days to ship the 3K RPM model and I needed the NAS back online ASAP. From all reviews I have read everywhere these hold up and perform quite well so I doubt I will need to update this review with any bad news.

> 3 dayI decided to replace my corsair radiator fans after they started randomly started making headache inducing sounds of a haunted or dying pc fan.( Im leaning on possessed as within 3 months they pierced my eardrums with grinding and hissing that wouldnt leave my head hours later and when i went to clean it and the radiator and spewed out dust on my face and said something about the devil). Enough rambling Noctua is known as the best pc fan manufacturer for a reason these fans push a hell of a lot of air and make hardly any sound while doing it. If you need some radiator fans look no further nothing comes close to these babies just make sure to pick up some anti-vibration fan mounts to match your build.

> 3 dayOkay, everyone knows Noctuas are ugly, but the performance is great. The little brown rubber pieces do come off if you do not need them; so it looks like a typical all black fan.

> 3 dayIf you are like me and are kinda new to PC building and come across this, just know these are quite loud when they are at full force but you dont even notice if you wear headphones, to be honest.

> 3 dayGreat Fan, I replaced an arctic cat fan on a GPU radiator as the Arctic fan was the loudest part of my computer. This fan runs quietly and matches my black computer quite well. It has has mild use and has worked without issue. It seems to pull plenty of air through the radiator without issues and Ive not had any problems with overheating. The change in blades for this fan may have made it possible for me to drop the RPM of the fan on the radiator; making it even quieter. Im very pleased with the fan and will be very open to buying another from Noctua in the future should I need it.
