My current case, the Lian Li Lancool 2, has a bracket for three intake fans on the front that you cant see the fans on. The Noctua fans are perfect for this use. Theyre a great low price, incredibly quiet, and help keep internal temps low. Performs exactly as expected of a Noctua product.

Works great, low noise and moves lots of air.

These are nice and silent on my LARGE pc and wish the cords were a little longer to connect to the fan headers as they had to travel from the top of the pc to the inside MB.

Seemed like a nice fan from a great brand, but today it started starting and stopping and then just stopped. Ive tried plugging it into different fan plugs on the motherboard, and Ive tried plugging another fan in where it was plugged in, everything else seems to work fine, the fan just wont start back up.

Fan is working silently. But it didnt start out that way. The fan on my Powerspec (Microcenter brand) desktop PC went bad, so I put in this Noctua. Powerspec had the fan connected to the motherboard PUMP SIO connector, so I plugged in the Noctua in the same place. Powered up the PC, and the Noctua fan ran FULL BLAST and was LOUD. It took some researching, but it turns out the PUMP SIO connector always runs at full voltage. Fortunately, cable on the Noctua fan was long enough to reach the unused FAN2 connector at the other end of the motherboard. And lo and behold, back to a nice, quiet PC!

These fans are quiet on their own, but to me at least they have a slight annoying hum at full speed. This is easily solved with the low noise adapters installed, but low noise means low RPM. Although I will admit even with the low low noise adapters installed, this fan seems to blow more air [slightly] than the 900RPM model. Also not a big deal if you install many of these fans in your computer case.

This was a replacement for my gaming PC, much quieter than the old one.

Pretty much the basic fan from Noctua. Its quiet and doesnt hurt the wallet.

These come with such great add-ons. The extension cables and power dampener (spin slowing effect) cables can be mixed and matched with your existing cables (use these as the base, for instance). I daisy chained some door and top exhaust additions with no problem. They have been running for months now just fine.

Designed for efficient case ventilation

Typical PC case ventilation applications require high airflow but only medium static pressure. The NF-S12B has been specifically designed for high airflow efficiency and low noise in order to provide best results in these so called low impedance applications .

SSO-Bearing

Combining the proven concept of hydrodynamic bearing with an additional magnet that supports the self-stabilisation of the rotor axis, Noctua"s time-tested technology has become synonymous with supremely quiet operation and exceptional long-term stability.

Bevelled Blade Tips

Reducing critical rotor stator interaction, Bevelled Blade Tips permit to combine extended leading edges and a higher blade surface area with quieter operation and thus form a cornerstone of the fan"s outstanding efficiency.

Colour-customisable with NA-SAVP1 anti-vibration pads

The fan’s frame can be outfitted with Noctua’s chromax line NA-SAVP1 anti-vibration pads. Available in black, red, blue, white, green and yellow, these pads not only damp minute vibrations but also allow the fan to be colour-customised in order to coordinate it with popular build colour schemes!
