Greater than one weekI love this fan/heatsink. Its pretty much silent, which is awesome compared to my previous fan that was causing noise pollution with its whine. I can now hear myself think again. It easily clears RAM and motherboard heatsink (my motherboard has a big MSI heatsink on it). Its a big fan/heatsink but it fit comfortably enough on my motherboard and in my case. I mounted the fan on top instead of on bottom because it was a little easier to install and it looks cool through the window on the side of my case. Installation was a bit of a pain but the provided instructions were clear and I didnt run into any major issues. The packaging was pretty impressive for something so utilitarian...everything felt like a premium product. It comes with everything you need including a screwdriver!

09-06-2025A principal object of this review is to provide the seemingly neclected Dell user with a relatively comprehensive path and projected success in resolving the regular and even dangerous overheating issues which so many of us experience with standard CPU coolers and multi-core processors.

> 3 dayThis thing is a fantastic beast of heat dissipation with the single fan it comes with. Add another on top and I dunno you must be overclocking at the limits, ut Im sure it will handle it. Also very quiet in operation even under stress testing. My only caution is in my title. It comes with Id say the perfect install phillips tool but its hard to see , and unless you do say 4 or 5 of these you wont have the feel for it. Usually one of the two screws is in a hard to observe area so do that one first the second one is easy. Also seeing between the fan blades and getting a good side shot, well an endoscope would have come in handy there. Also with all the attempts I did lose some skin to the cooling vanes. The manufacture warns that once installed dont travel with the computer without first uninstalling the cooler, its heavy enough and in such a small area attachment point I believe it may break off the motherboard in transit or if the desktop falls a few feet. In the end Noctua, you have done it , and delivered

> 3 dayThis cooler saved my mobo because my mobo has terrible VRMs. The VRMs overheat like crazy and need good airflow. I setup this cooler to be downward blowing and it keeps my mobo at sane temperatures. The Noctua also cools CPU better than the beQuiet! Pure Rock, but the Noctua did cost a lot more.

> 3 dayVery well built, as expected from Noctua

> 3 dayFitted well in the cooler master NR200P case, although my current setup is a 65TDP chip, the cooler keeps it below 60 degrees when fully loaded with Prime95.

> 3 dayAs with any Noctua product, its excellent. A little lighter than my D14, and I like that you can change the orientation to assist with avoiding other components on the motherboard. The ability to mount the fan (or 2) in low profile or high clearance is nice as well. Running games, the temperature only goes around 15-20C above ambient, which is great! I just wish Noctua would go away from the bland beige colour.

> 3 daymuch smaller than most 140 mm heat sinks. its foot print is amazingly low. despite being slightly more compact and substantially smaller footprint. it performs much better than coolers that are far larger and interfere more

> 3 dayNot easy to install when the motherboard (X99) is already populated. Lack options to install a slim (15mm) width fans. Cooling performance is ordinary.
