Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler with 2X NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fans (Brown)

I installed the NH-D15 for 4790K in a Cooler Master HAF XB EVO case. The cooling is nearly silent and 10-15 degrees Centigrade cooler than the CM 212 EVO it replaced. It is the easiest large air cooler I have installed by far. The only downsides are (1) it required very low profile ram if you use both fans (any ram will work in an Intel 1150 board if you use only one fan), and (2) it is very heavy which could be a problem in cases with a vertically mounted motherboard. The only trick in the installation is to make sure both mounting screws are started before you tighten either of them down - the manual is not kidding about that!

Great heat sink fan! It’s huge! High(case issue), wide(ram issue). I’m using it with one fan because of the ram issue, it still manages on a ryzen 9 5900x

Hands down the best cpu cooler on the market.

I had NH-D14 for many years and not that I needed to change, but hey, why not, so I decided to get new updated NH-D15 and Im glad I did.

CPU temps look good 7900x staying under 55c, but the fan quality is... Iffy. They rattle, make weird noises, vibrate, and are just overall not impressive at all, in fact they kind of sound like they could die in a couple months. Maybe I got a bad set.

I am using this inside of a DIYPC Skyline-07-R Black SECC ATX Full Tower Gaming Computer Case and it just fits (cant have a fan on the side door where this CPU cooler sits). I am running a I7 Skylake and the max core temps are only hitting 33 degrees Celsius (CPUID HWMonitor tracks the max). I was also able to use both fans and just have one sitting slightly higher to fit with the ram on my Gigabyte motherboard. Also, I did get a bad motherboard first so I can note that the drop style of CPU thermal paste that the instructions have you do works great (spread perfectly following the instructions). Plus the Skylake CPU was in perfect shape despite how large this cooler is in comparison. I personally am not a fan of the brown color scheme but honestly the performance makes this the cooler to have in your case if you dont want to go with liquid cooling.

This has outperformed my liquid cooler, I could not believe it - it has both fans running and I’m running 8% cooler over liquid...and there is absolutely no noise, it’s so quiet, unbelievably quiet..silent.

This is the best air cooler you can get. It is quiet and effective. My one caveat is to check you RAM height. I have RAM with high heat sink and I had to use a pull- pull configuration because the fan will not fit in top of the RAM.
