> 3 dayWhat a transformation, and what an impact to processor temperatures. I decided to upgrade my old ASUS P6T V.2 Deluxe board which had a Zalman CPU fan and I thought that was cool enough for me. That was until I swapped it for this baby. Upto now, my teperatures were in the region of 40 degrees and this was acceptable to me, however they have now dropped down to 21 degrees, and I cant hear the fan at all. In fact the only noise eminating from the PC are the case fans. I do have two gripes, and that is I couldnt close the side panel of my ANTEC 1200 tower as the side fan was hitting the top of the cooler, but this was easily remedied by removal of the fan. And secondly, I couldnt attach the second cooler fan as it was hitting the top of the memory dimms. Perhaps a 90 degree rotation my aleiviate this. Noctua seem to be a reputable company to deal with as they will send out the correct mounting kit to you for free if you can provide proof of purchase of a Noctua Cooler & the processor, or photo of it installed.

Greater than one weekI recently decided to swap over from my Corsair H60 Push/Pull setup. I had bought it when I was running my AMD 8350 FX. When I swapped over to an i7 4790k 2 years ago the H60 did an ok job with it as well. Not as stout as on the AMD because of the increased thermals from the i7.

> 3 dayVery satisfied with this product. What a difference over the stock AMD cooling fan (that sounded like a small jet engine in my living room). Extremely quiet!!! Installation was not without its issues. The AMD setup requires the original mounts be removed and new ones be installed. No big deal, just do not unscrew the 4 mounting screws at the same time, the back plate will fall off. Replace them one at a time as to not lose the back plate. The second issue was attaching the unit to the mounting bracket. I had to really push down hard on the mounting screws to get them to catch and tighten up. Another thing to be careful about is removing the old cooling unit and not pulling out the processor in the process. This did happen and caused all sorts of issues upon boot up after the install. Eventually after a few failed boot up attempts the PC booted up and continues to run fine and most of all run silent.

> 3 dayThis fan is just phonomenal. It is replacing an ineffective liquid cooling cpu fan which was allowing my CPU to overheat (or almost - it was throttling the performance). This fan runs at probably 40C cooler than my liquid cooling fan. Im not kidding...You will not go wrong with this fan and it is SUPER quiet. Love it!
